The change was initiated by the majority of our fans. The athletic department, for years, has been receiving complaints on the traffic flow getting into the green lot, the number of spaces taken up by fans who do not own parking spots, and duplication of passes. This was the last thing our athletic department had an interest in changing, but due to the overwhelming amount of fans' complaints, we answered their concerns.

Traffic complaints are the largest number of complaints to the sheriff's department, and probably the biggest concern of citizens in the county.

Lack of parking and seating (at PAL) were complaints we got from our fans. They enjoyed the games, but they couldn't always see the action with people standing along the fence. This gives us more control over fans enjoying the games the way they want.

Periodically, we try to do special details to attack driving under the influence or, in this case, aggressive driving. If nothing else, it at least makes law enforcement presence known and hopefully is an educational process for drivers here in the county.

And we, as the athletic department, like to bring our coaches out to the fans in just an effort of appreciation and letting people interact with our coaches.

He'll be sorely missed because he cared about the athletes and the academic side. The parking situation should be fine, but we are advising fans that there won't be enough spaces at the arena site for everyone. I think fans want to naturally get as close as possible to the site, but there's many of other options.

It was a terrible night for Raider fans, who battled a monumental traffic snarl to get into the parking lot, the traffic flow possibly handled by FEMA.

That was our plan all along, was to go on hiatus and it'll be back, bigger and better. The fans really miss it. We got a lot of calls and complaints about not having it the last couple years.

We had a great turn out today. I hope we continue to have between 2,500 and 3,000 fans every game. The fans are the sixth player and it really helps the program and the players. We encourage everyone to continue to come and support IU women's basketball and all IU athletic sports.

They are both great fans and they have been for years and years. It is a bit more of a social event there and here it is almost kind of like life and death. The fans are really really into it and terribly disappointed when you lose. They are very compassionate about the team and they are very knowledgeable fans here.
