That's the way kids will think when you are down like that. You try to tell them to take it one shift at a time, one goal at time, but, you know, we didn't get it done.

These kids have shown time in and time out that they belong here. From the moment they stepped on campus they have shown they had a big picture, one goal. And they're one step from achieving that goal.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

The toy industry continues to wrestle with the new digital reality of kids' lives. Kids aren't really 'getting older younger,' they're just playing differently than they have in the past. I went and hunted down the goal judge. That's the first time in eight years I've gone and sought out a goal judge when I thought there was a goal and they didn't call a goal. I know it was a goal because I saw it on TV, and I saw it on tape.

We had some great chances and we just missed. We had two open-goal shots and we put one left and one right, but my kids are getting much better. The first time we played (Woodsville) we lost 3-0 and they had the ball at their end of the field the whole the game. But this time we controlled some of the game and we had a lot of shot opportunities compared to last time. The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender.

We had different kids step up this time that didn't last time and that was the difference in us getting the win. Keeping the matches closer we picked up a couple of extra bonus points that we missed last time.

I don't want the boys to get caught up in all the attention we have been getting. We just need to worry about one shift, one goal, one game at a time.

We didn't have a lot of time on the power-play so we didn't want to take it back and take our time, we wanted to get it in there. We talked about it before the draw, just to go ahead with it. We ended up getting control of it right away and I moved it over to Iggy and he came back to me and we got a goal out of it.

NY1's goal was not just to be a little brother or sister to what the other stations were doing. They wanted to be players in the same game. For a long time they didn't have the resources to do that. But now you go to places that have TV's on all the time, and you'll see NY1.

This time we didn't waste any time to allow the other team to get into any type of rhythm or anything. Our goal was to come in and take care of business, as well as work on something that we touched on in practice. And I would say that it worked.

My goal has always been to be like a female George Burns. Having had the opportunity to work with him so many times, especially at the end of his life, I felt so inspired by him all the time. I totally agreed with him. We would talk about how lucky we were to find something that we loved when we were kids and to just grow more in love with it as time goes on.

I caught the puck in my glove. A player came and pushed my arm over the goal line and I just pulled it back quickly, I had the puck the whole time. I didn't have much time to think about it. I just pulled my arm back I was just happy it was not a goal.
