Climbers aim for the summit because it is there. Bungee jumpers dive off the top because they aren't all there.

He's just unbelievable. He comes from a family of jumpers. His mother and father were both jumpers, so it's natural for him. He showed he's by far the best in the state and he didn't even jump his best. He jumped out of the [jumpers] box [in a meet against] Platt.

We started learning a new dive on platform before this competition and Steve had a little bit of a mental lapse in that he performed the new dive instead of what we had entered him to perform and thus automatically received no points on that dive. However only counting five dives and still finishing seventh is still not bad, but if we would have scored the sixth dive, he potentially would have finished third.

Twelve of us started on this trip, but nine made it to the summit. One became very ill even before we reached base camp. That?s not uncommon; many climbers attempting to scale this mountain became very ill and many have died. But after this, nothing is too challenging. Especially after what we saw in the villages of Tanzania where many people have nothing and are just struggling to live. It?s given us a fresh perspective on life.

Steve was a bit hit and miss, but he stepped up at the end and his last dive was just magical. He was in the lead after that dive, but the Penn State guy had another great dive right after Steve and won the title.

I know not to take three-pointers or long jumpers when my legs aren't feeling that great.

We started settling for a lot of jumpers. Jumpers that we usually hit we weren't hitting tonight, and that killed us.

We've been playing in the same type of jumpers for 100 years so it doesn't worry me if we both wear the same jumpers.

We aren't sure we want to dive into this right now if we can't get our people to the site. Maybe we should just hold out for a couple of more years and see what happens with the roads.

What we have found once we've gotten up into the summit region...the driving has gotten very, very good. The ground is hard here. There is not a lot of fine-grain stuff around. What there is piled up in drifts. This is because the summit region is exposed to the wind; it's very windy. In some parts of the summit region, we barely leave tracks.

When his jumpers aren't going in, then it really hurts our inside-outside game because teams start jamming and converging on the post players. So he's going to have to hit the open shots. He's going to have to make the big baskets. And he has to come through for us.

Today's seniors aren't those of yesteryear. These are people who think they are 10 to 15 years younger and act it. They still play golf but a lot of them scuba dive, too.

Maybe a bungee cord or something from his car.
