We came out flat, with no intensity. That's the inexperience of our ball club; we didn't look ready to play against one of the top teams around.

We came out a little flat. Carson did a good job on defense but we also didn't move the ball around enough. We knew they would pack it in (on Olson inside). Every team we play does that. We just didn't have enough intensity at the start.

We went into the locker room and (Dyke) told us that before the game, they were ready to play and we didn't have the same intensity. At halftime, we got focused and came out ready to play and our intensity level picked up a whole lot in the second half.

Our inexperience is showing right now. These teams are sharp. They have to get ready for the playoffs. And they've really exposed the inexperience.

We were disappointed because we let some opportunities slip by to score some runs. The win, though, was good for our young ball club. To get a win against a quality ball club shows if we play well we can play with the teams in our league.

I think we get flat-footed out there sometimes because teams don't put the ball in play very much against Lauren.

I don't know why we keep coming out flat. We spot teams one goal and then we start to play. We played a little too much kick ball. It's not the way we were playing the other day. For some reason, we keep falling back into this kick ball stuff. Midland High moved the ball the way we needed to.

Our goal today was to start with intensity from the first whistle, and play with intensity until the end. Basically our ground ball control was lacking intensity, and today we wanted to win ball control, ground ball control and play with intensity. Today, we did that.

It's tough to lose a game like this. We played great, but our inexperience got the best of us at the end. We just didn't maintain our intensity. We need to work on that in the future.

We've accomplished a lot; we don't have any reason to put our heads down. We just didn't play well. It seemed like we were flat, and it seemed like they were ready to go.

We didn't play as well as we wanted in the first half, but in the second we came out with the intensity we needed. We play against teams that give us their best shot. . . . It's all how you rebound from that.
