We're not playing with intensity all the time. We can't just have two innings and then lie down; our little mental errors make the games look bad.

We sort of self-destructed in a couple of innings. We made about five errors, or at least mental errors. The first two innings was how good we are.

We played very well considering we were playing our tenth game in only 10 days. Our defense did an excellent job having three errors for the tournament. In the championship game we did not make an error. Pitching was very good in all three games. Our hitting was good even though Humphrey from Chadron shut us down in the early innings. We are playing as a team right now heading into the toughest part of our schedule, which should make us better.

I was kind of foggy for the first four or five innings, then I really started to get into the game. It's not like I was out there spaced out. But we had gone through a lot of high intensity and mental exhaustion the last few games, and sometimes it can be tough to get it going.

We shine in spots. We'll play well for a spurt and then we'll make a mental mistake along the line. So we really need to be more consistent at both ends of the field. If we can do that and limit the mental errors we're going to win our fair share of games.

We hit the ball better (the second game). We're struggling playing defense. In the first game we had mental errors. In the second game we had physical errors, but we cut down on the mental errors. With enough repetitions, the physical errors should go down.

Right now we're not playing consistently for 14 innings. We play well for seven, eight innings. In all honesty the second game is not a true reflection of how we played. They hit it and we didn't make any errors. We gave up 20 hits. You give up 20 hits you're going to get beat. It's pretty difficult to change personnel in light of what we have. We're not making a lot of mental errors. Offensively, we didn't make very many mental errors at all. You just hope that you can improve your execution. We're not turning guys loose. (On Sunday) we just got physically beat up.

Errors killed us today. In our first two games we didn't have that. It was a lack of focus. We had eight errors in four defensive innings.

I do have playing-time concerns. But they'll try to break up the game load so people aren't playing nine innings. The intensity will be up, and I'd like to have my legs in a little better shape.

We have had a few key errors that have allowed the other teams to score runs. We have only been outside for four games (before last Wednesday) ... so I have to believe that with more time playing on a dirt field that we will fine-tune the defense and we will eliminate those errors.

We had a few mental lapses and errors that cost us in the fifth and sixth innings, but we were able to get the win. As you can tell, we hit the ball really well.

We've been committing mental errors early in the games, and it's put us in a hole every time. I like the way we keep battling back - these kids don't believe they're ever out of the game - but we've just not executed well in the early parts of the games.

If his time does diminish, that will be the reason, ... Physically, he's doing fine. But we can't afford to have an early snap, and couple of mental errors in a short period of playing time, when everyone else is not doing any.

There have been a couple of errors where guys have tried to do too much. We've had some errors that are just careless throwing errors. We can not make careless errors. You're going to have enough errors without just giving away bases. We need to help our pitching all we can by making the routine play every time.
