It's simply that we've had a very strong run in the past couple of weeks and you've got a natural correction from that. You've got some overseas investors beginning to take a little profit.

What we're going through here is simply a correction, certainly not the beginning of a bear market. Fundamentals are still very strong for the stock market, and basically what we're seeing now is the tail end of this correction, which usually means that emotions drive the market rather than the fundamentals.

The choppiness we've had over the past couple weeks, the volatility, suggests stocks are vulnerable. It suggests we're looking, in the months ahead, at a correction in the marketplace.

That's been one of our goals from the beginning of the season and it would be a big accomplishment for this team. It's been in our sights the past couple of weeks and now it's here for us to have if we want it. It's just a matter of whether we can go out there and play football well enough.

Clearly, some of Microsoft's cautionary comments are weighing on the markets today. I think that investors had gotten a little ahead of themselves in the past couple of weeks in terms of bidding up tech and so now you're getting this pullback.

Investors should remain alert to any signs that a pullback, beginning as a normal correction, is developing into something much more serious.
