en Every Olympics we dream of hearing the anthem and seeing the flag. It's the top. I was feeling very proud and so happy to hear the people singing it. I sang as strong as I could, but nobody heard it because everybody was screaming.

en At the Olympic Games of 2004 this nightmare reappeared, because instead of hearing the national anthem at the final of the 200 meters we heard another anthem.

en Standing on the podium waving the American flag in a foreign country holding three gold medals while they play the national anthem, makes all the hard work and sacrifice worth it. She hopes someday to have that same feeling in the 2012 Olympics in London competing for the U.S.

en We found out about the College World Series opportunity through a person who had heard us sing and had relayed the application to our administration. It's so incredible that our singing the national anthem can spread such a positive feeling that everyone was getting involved and wanting us to do more.

en I heard people screaming, so I went down the street and saw the smoke and fire and I called 911. Then I went into backyard, and there were girls there crying screaming, saying someone in the house. I heard a guy screaming out the front window. I knew he was a contractor, so I asked if he had a ladder. He said there was one in the back yard, so I went, got it, and set it up.

en These people work hard to get to the Olympics at all costs. And I always ask the girls: When they hear that Olympic music or the national anthem, does it rev them up? Does it make the hair on the back of their neck stand up?

en Everybody came to us and said it was time for us to come back. People were tired of what they were hearing. People wanted to hear the fullness again, real singing.

en In recent weeks we have seen frequent demonstrations under foreign flags and the emergence of a counter-national anthem. We see people demanding to be treated differently under the law. Monday should be an opportunity for the rest of us to show that we are one nation, with one flag, one national anthem, and one set of laws that apply to everyone.

en Every time I hear the national anthem here, I look over at the center-field scoreboard and I can't wait until those planes fly over it in the World Series, ... You will cry, because that's the greatest feeling. I've seen it before. If I get to do it with this ballclub ... whoa, that's going to be the best feeling ever.

en She sang a lot of songs. 'The Bear Went Over the Mountain' and things like that. But the one she was really good at singing was 'I Found a Peanut.' Now I know why she sang that so many times.

en She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. When I went with the U.S. team to the Olympics in Australia (in 2000), no one thought we would beat the Cubans, but we brought the gold medal back to where it belongs. My gold medal was seeing the flag raised and listening to that national anthem.

en I just love the feeling from the fans and when I'm walking on deck I can hear people screaming and wishing you the best. That puts you into the game more than anything.

en One hole, you could hear the birds singing away, like there's nobody on the course. It's definitely a lot quieter out there than you normally hear around Augusta, besides the one big cheer we heard. And we obviously all knew that was Tiger.
