It's a great opportunity for Wayne County. I just wish they'd get it moving. Michigan has suffered big hits financially … this is not time to play politics.

Wayne County and the State of Michigan offer unique opportunities for the creation of the bio-refinery model.

From an economic development perspective, given the attention that the automotive industry is giving to this particular fuel choice, it's in Wayne County's, and ultimately the state of Michigan's, interest to be prepared to participate in the E85 rollout.

Wayne did a great job. Sometimes when you're lying back there, you can stay out of trouble. It looks like that's what Wayne did. He said he really enjoyed himself and it really was a different race. The race wound up being a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. I thought we'd see a little more side-by-side racing. The carnage was a more than we've had in a long time, so that's the bad part. Overall, Wayne did a great job.

When you play that many (ranked teams) in a row, it becomes a mental strain as far as keeping your guys up. I think it helps that it's the Michigan game. I think our guys will be up for that. If there was going to be a time when they mentally let down a little bit, I don't see it being this week. Emotionally, it's Michigan-Michigan State and that carries more than anybody we play, let's be honest.

I hope people don't . . . play politics during this period of time. This is a natural disaster – the likes of which our country may have never seen before – and it's a national emergency. And what we need to do as a nation is come together to solve the problem and not play politics. There'll be ample time for politics.

Michigan is in peril. The state is in one of the worst crises of our lifetime. Wayne County is impeded from growing due to uncertainty in the auto industry. The good news is that there's been a steady, consistent trend toward better news.

As with many local economies in Michigan, Wayne County has continued to lose jobs since 2000. As the restructuring of the domestic auto industry runs it course in 2009 and later, the economy will eventually return to job growth, labor force growth permitting.

Do we want an Attorney General who will play politics with the law, play politics with the court and just play politics with international conventions designed to protect our troops? I do not want to play that kind of politics. I am going to vote against Alberto Gonzales.

It's a great day for Fort Wayne, a great day for Allen County and northeast Indiana.

Wayne, he's a great player, but we're moving on. We're still going to be friends.

We really suffered. We suffered financially and emotionally. We sold our home, our second car, anything we could live without we did without, cell phones, newspapers. I learned to buy the cheapest food we could buy. We moved in with my twin sister. My husband was not allowed the dignity of dying in his own home.

Wayne has dealt with the media before. I think he's made it very clear where he is in this situation. He has not been involved. So there's no reason for Wayne not to be here. If Wayne didn't come that's not right. We want Wayne Gretzky to be here.

This opportunity ties into our current efforts with the city of Ft. Wayne to promote development on U.S. 30. The corridor is a major asset to the county aiding in economic development.

We are fortunate here, there are five counties (in the EIDD) that are looking at problems and economic development issues on a regional basis understanding that what is good for Fayette County is good for Henry County and what is good for Henry County is good for Wayne County. Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character.
