I raised the judiciary ordsprog
I raised the judiciary issue with Gary Flowers yesterday before the Rocky decision was handed down and we agreed that we need to review it further.
Fraser Neill
We gave in on the salary cap, the biggest issue. It seems to me that once we've done that, once we've agreed on the philosophy, we should be able to work out other things. Never in ( Gary Bettman 's) tenure as commissioner, as far as I know, was arbitration or free agency as big an issue as the salary cap. But now, it seems like we got the biggest hurdle out of the way and it only made it harder.
Bobby Holik
This is an important decision for the life of Piper. This was an issue raised by two groups. Whatever the final decision will be, we'll respect that.
Steve Johnston
We are satisfied with the decision handed down [yesterday]. It fulfills what we have been seeking from the very beginning. We will continue to work with all parties for the final resolution of this matter.

Certainly the issue of ground water-surface water connection is not a simple issue. Because of the complexity of the issues, before we have a response we need to fully internally review this decision.
Mary Sexton
[Blumenthal] had raised questions earlier about the reliability of the supply and quality of oil. The governor is just asking for a thorough review of any issues that may be associated with this so she can make a decision on how to move forward.
Judd Everhart
This will seriously undermine the independence of the country's judiciary as contemplated in the Constitution. This distorts the very purpose that inspired the creation of the Council: to ensure balance and moderation in decision-making affecting the judiciary. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around.
Jose Miguel Vivanco
In lieu of any further strike action on the issue, the parties would jointly submit their positions to the regional director of the National Labor Relations Board, who would review and issue a decision which would be binding on the parties.
Tom Donahue
Gary was my partner side by side and has been an integral part in Canyon's successes in the past 27 years. Together we raised over $100,000,000 in equity and debt financing. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Gary for his 27 years of service with the Company and wish him the greatest success in the future.
James Hesketh
We agreed that it is not possible for ministers to order the judiciary around.

[Plans for the 2006 Lambda Literary Awards and a dynamic, new website (to be launched in January) have already begun, while the Foundation continues to review the viability of two of its publications, Lambda Book Report and James White Review. Flowers urges the literary community to contact Lambda during its planning.] In the weeks ahead, we will be sending a survey to our members as we review our current programs and explore new initiatives, ... We value your opinions and feedback. Let us hear from you.
Charles Flowers
[Akaka and others in the delegation downplayed the Justice Department's statement yesterday.] Every practical policy issue raised by DOJ in our negotiations has been addressed and resolved, ... Although I realize and respect that there are those who have differing views, the bill is constitutional.
Daniel Akaka
We have agreed to do what we already agreed to do, ... and that is to complete as best we can phase two of the Intelligence Committee's review of prewar intelligence in reference to Iraq.
Pat Roberts
It is frustrating, really hugely disappointing, to not know the issue for this reexamination, if that's what it is, or the criteria upon which they'll ultimately make a decision. They have not raised anything in terms of a change in the circumstances of the company.
Richard Michaelson
He can keep his spin, but I'd rather take away his speed ? or make him right-handed. Any one of those things would change the dynamics dramatically. I'd first go speed, (and) then I'd go right-handed; then I'd go spin. On clay it's different. Spin would probably be right up there with the speed. On hard court, I can take the ball early and I didn't have much issue with that, but I did have issue with his ability to use his speed to get a hold of a point; and then he wouldn't let go of it once he had it.
