Our 1-3-1 defense has won a lot of games for us, so we just keep reminding ourselves of that every time a team makes a run on us.

Any time you can hold a team like that on defense, it makes the game easier for everybody. We count on the defense to make plays. That's what's going to win us games in the playoffs. We just have to keep playing hard and finish games and we'll have a chance.

We had our chances. We're not getting the key hits. Overall, for four games, our defense was pretty steady. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that we are real young and are going to take our lumps. Hopefully next year we can win these (close) games.

(Reed) is a guy that all he wants to do is play defense, ... Even when we're running our first-team offense against our scout team defense at practice, he wants to be out there. He just never quits. We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. We can't rely on our offense to win games. Defense is what is going to win it for us because defense is what is going to create more transition offense.

She's constantly talking out there and that makes me comfortable. It's hard to run and talk at the same time and then turn around and play defense. She makes life a lot easier. She's the leader of this team.

We have a more offensive-minded team with more weapons this year. Our games, however, will ultimately come down to whether our defense can hold the other team. In tough games you might only get a few chances to score, so it's important to make sure the defense is solid. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness.

We have regressed. You can't really argue with that. Our team defense is Swiss cheese right now. Any time you are giving up the points we've given up over the last seven games, you can't say anything but negative things about our defense. I can't think of anything positive.

I think it is an appropriate time to be reminding people that eight weeks ago we landed the biggest prize in sport and reminding the thousands of Londoners and people throughout the UK that helped us. We couldn't have got across the line without them.

Ray's the best, but for me I'm fired up because this is the Baltimore defense, ... They won the Super Bowl five years ago. You get hyped up playing a team that has been to where you want to go. Any time you do well against them, it makes your team look that much better.

We definitely have to improve or it's going to start getting ugly. This is the time of year when it gets tough. I've been reminding our team to take one game at a time - we have to get a lot better than we are if we are going to do anything this season.

Now you see MAC teams playing a lot of Big Ten teams tough. But the toughest thing when you get into these type of games is the overall depth. Recruiting-wise they still get, most the time, who they want. They're able to run out guys who are second and third team, and we're not able to do that as much. Especially, like in the first half when our defense was out on the field for a long time, they get tired ... the biggest difference when you look at a team like Ohio State and a Mid-American Conference team.
