It was about this ordsprog

en It was about this time last season when he committed himself to being a good player. Because of what we were going through, there were a lot of individual workouts at practice, and you could see him getting better.

en We have taken some huge steps since last season. Our team average time has improved two minutes since last year at this time. We have been focusing more on miles rather than speed so far this season. I am anxious to see what happens when we add speed to our workouts. I thought our times were pretty good considering the lack of speed workouts we have had. We still have some work to do but I like what I see so far. This is a very experienced team and they know what it takes.

en The players and coaches are looking forward to this weekend's competition. Each player has been working hard this spring during individual workouts and has shown improvement. Team practices started this past Monday, and it was exciting to get all of the players together and practice in a team setting.

en As a Birmingham City fan I get at least six letters each close-season asking me to renew my season ticket, often with some ludicrous claim that the club's signing a £10m player (cleverly worded as 'I have committed £10m to just one player' - this included a £3m transfer fee and the player's wages over his four-year contract). At a time when I'm desperately saving to try and climb that first rung of the housing ladder, I have drone-like chalked up another £550 on my credit card to see 19 games this season, many of which will end without us scoring a single goal and probably only three of them at 3pm on a Saturday. How stupid do I feel?

en The summers are the time when you can get better as an individual. He didn't have that and he had to jump in and try to fit into a team right away without going through some individual things. He didn't even do much of the individual workouts.

en I think he would tell you he wasn't very happy with the way he played overall last year. He's worked hard in individual workouts, and I know he has some big goals for this season.

en He's very committed to what he is doing. He's always at practice, very into the game, a very smart player. I don't think he's ever missed a practice.

en I can't remember the last time we took a break midseason like this. I'm hoping we can step up and improve where we've been. We've run tired early in the season, more so than what I would have expected. We've had some good workouts and we've lightened up a little bit. It's time for the kids to start picking it up.

en The spring season is the time when we focus on each player's individual improvement and it is also a great time to implement any system changes to test them out. We are making a big change to our serve-receive system for next fall and the spring season tournaments will provide us with numerous quality opportunities to get comfortable with the changes and work out the kinks.

en She's one of those kids that will always be in my heart. She is one of those players that made me as a coach want to come to practice every day and give her my very best. I told her, by the time the season was over, I was totally exhausted because I felt she had, in a good way, sucked everything out that I could give her as a person and as a player.

en We are aware that Joey will be leaving the club at the end of the season, however he remains a Leicester City player until such time and I know he will be 100 percent committed to the cause.

en Some of these girls don't play a lot (during varsity games). It takes a strong, committed player to a team to do that. They're as important to the team as anybody, especially in practice. Without them, we're not as good as we can be.

en It's my last [season] and I'm hoping to go out with a boom. I'm putting everything I have into this season and into this team. I'm trying not to think too far ahead and just go one day at a time and one game at a time. Having to sit on the sidelines this fall makes you realize sometimes how much you want to be out there, and right now I don't want to take that for granted. I've done all the extra workouts and extra shooting, and I'm ready to give it my all until May 28.

en You could take every player on our roster and put them through his workouts and they would all play longer. He didn't get older and work less. He got older and worked harder. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. That's what enabled him to play so long. To me, he's a tremendous example of what you can do if you're totally committed to doing something.

en Josh had a phenomenal season. He never missed a practice. He came to get extra workouts in. He worked hard and he sought advice from the coaches to improve and he showed up to every meet ready to wrestle for the team.
