Football will not have a schedule but it will be a training sport.

We are looking at his training schedule, as we do with all the players. I don't view football in that way, as a violent, barbaric sport. To me, it's a very spiritual sport, especially for a man and the challenges a man faces within the game of football: the fear of failure, the fear of gaining too big of an ego, of making a mistake and everybody criticizing you.

We're motivated just on the schedule we have: having a tough schedule and wanting to prove to people that no matter if we have a tough schedule or not, we're a good football team, and we're going to win games. I share the record with Lenny now, and I'm not a greedy person. If we can win the game and I don't get a touchdown, I'll be fine with that.

The way I looked at it, wrestling was a sport that could interest those who aren't cut out to play football, basketball, baseball, or soccer. Wrestling is a sport for everyone. I don't feel that it's in our best interest to make up the game. I don't know how we can work that into our schedule. It's not like it's basketball or baseball. Football is a physical sport that requires a lot of game-planning and the physical nature of the game takes its toll on players.

There's a position for everyone. It's a very dynamic sport. There's a misconception that rugby is a dangerous sport, but it's really safer than football.

Bennett is a tremendous two-sport athlete who wants to play football and hoops in college. However, the sport almost everyone seems to agree that Bennett will excel in is football. This is a tight-end prospect who can flat-out ball. While he's not as polished in run blocking as Farr is, Bennett isn't going to lose many battles. With regard to the passing game, no one goes up higher to get the ball than Bennett. He makes the difficult catches in traffic look routine.

Jermaine does a lot of things other guys never do. He's become a student of the sport. Not just training. He studies it. He's on the Internet, reading about guys he's going to wrestle. He's doing research on the sport, and that's impressive.

I will be setting up a rough training schedule for myself that will include long bike rides, some hill training, and other exercise including my simultaneous Boston Marathon training . . . I will be embarking on an 80-plus mile ride to Connecticut later on this semester. I will add in a ride or two to Massachusetts or southern Rhode Island. I will also be biking in various kinds of weather to get used to all kinds of situations.
