As a congressman, I've never called for a ban. We've called for a full disclosure of the risks involved... It's meant to have a mild effect. It is not meant to prohibit women from access to abortion. It simply tells them, 'If you're going to have an abortion, do it in the first five months or so of pregnancy.

We're still discussing that with LPGA. In the meantime, they've said that the provision is optional for the Fields, and we've opted out.

Most of the patients are poor, and on Medicare, and doctors don't make as much money treating those kinds of patients,
