en Most of our girls are accustomed to playing several games in a short time frame. As a coach and as a team, you want to play games. Plus, you might see a different brand of softball than you are accustomed to playing, and that can be beneficial as well.

en A lot of these guys are used to playing with more time and space. They played the game a lot slower in their native country. They are not accustomed to the high pressure, the voracity of the Americans. When players accustomed to more time on the ball don't get it, they sometimes feel the referee isn't protecting them the way he should. He gets frustrated because he isn't performing the way he is accustomed to, and he lashes out, often at the referee.

en They're all going to see quality playing time. But we might be playing games by committee sometimes, games in which I substitute a lot. We just need more girls to play 60 minutes of consistent hockey. Two five-minute spurts isn't going to get us anywhere.

en I think they'll be fine. Sometimes a short preparation can almost be beneficial, because you tend just to concentrate on what you need to do to play well. They also have a stack of representative players in their team and those guys are quite accustomed to backing up within a few days. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. We won't be taking them lightly.

en Mainland is accustomed to playing in big games, and they did what they had to do to win. We helped them some and hurt ourselves at the same time with some big mistakes, and you can't do that against a club like Mainland.

en I'm fine. It's going to be frustrating any time you lose, and being this many games under .500 is not something we all like nor are we all accustomed to. We have resolve to play well and get ourselves out of the mess that we've created. We all take responsibility; it's a team effort.

en It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

en Chris is a very mature player for his age. He has to get accustomed to the schedule, accustomed to the rigors of the practice, travel, amount of games and keeping your physical edge while adjusting to the wear and tear of the pro game.

en This is a good bunch of girls. They really have understood their roles this year. They haven't always gotten the playing time that they're accustomed to. They're a good motivation for the team; they try to keep the morale pretty high.

en We did play some tough competition early but really took those games to experiment with some girls at different positions. Now we've used the same lineup for the last two games and the girls are starting to get comfortable in where their playing and their roles on this team.

en We have to go out now and win our last two games. I think our girls are playing a little nervous the last two games. We just have to go out and relax and play basketball. We're thinking too much rather than just playing.

en (Municipal Auditorium) is a different setting from what we are used to playing in, since we play mostly in small gyms. I just want the guys to get accustomed to playing in a different environment.

en We ran into a really good basketball team. They played at a level that our girls are not accustomed to playing against. Our girls didn't know how to handle it until it was late in the third and fourth. Our intensity level picked up, but it was too little, too late.

en [Regarding the shot clock:] If you play all the time at 24 seconds, it's like becoming accustomed to driving in a certain traffic pattern, ... Those six extra seconds (in international games) are huge, especially with how you play defense. ... You have to develop a team that will play 30 seconds of defense each time.

en I'm accustomed to playing a little bit more than I have, so it's been a bit of an adjustment for me. You want to compete and you want to contribute in a team setting. That's what can be frustrating for anybody who wants to help out. But at the same time, you've got to stay patient.
