en You take away those last nine games from us and we wind up in third or fourth place. (But) you have more time to prepare for (conference) games and you have more time to play other conferences, which is pretty interesting.

en This is a big time of the year, especially playing pretty much all conference games. (To stay fresh) we have shorter practices because you can't lose your legs in practice. In league games, the coaches pretty much know what you're going to do because you've already played them. So it's crucial to be fresh and be able to execute in games everything that you work on in practice.

en We just have to take it one game at a time. It will help prepare us for the other three conference games we have on the road.

en Having to prepare for four games on Thursday and four games on Friday, it just became a bigger challenge. We started pooling our efforts to try to keep those guys fresh and also give the fans what I think is pretty interesting radio.

en This event is set up to prepare the athletes for the area games that will take place Feb. 24-25 in Allen. Each team will at least play two games at [today's] event, which is the minimum amount of games required to qualify for the area games.

en It's going to be very interesting to see how this turns out. Roxboro is a great place to play. They have a lot of school spirit and they turn out a lot of people to watch the games. That's nothing but a positive for the conference.

en For the first time in four years we are opening regular season play with three of our first four games at home. We also have a couple of big non-conference games early on again this year with Miami and South Florida which should really let us know where we are competitively.

en Early, middle, late - it doesn't matter. Any time you play within your division, they're going to be pretty good games and games that you have to play well in to win.

en It was kind of hard for us to have Collins in the first game because they have pretty much the same team back from last year so it was easier for them to mesh together. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. I think we have gotten a lot closer over the last few games, so it will be interesting the next time we play them.

en If we want to finish in first place we have to start winning the division games. We have to make the most of it because those games are four point games. It?s pretty easy math. If you win most of those games, then you?re sitting pretty there. It?s easier said then done though.

en We try to look at the games we are playing. Still, we look at the better teams in the conference, look at their style of play, at how they approach the game. We will come across everyone sooner or later. But conference is a time that is really fun. It's a little crazy. The scouting reports are so good. Everyone knows everything about everyone else. We know their plays, they know ours. But conference play is also fun, a lot of competition. It's what you live for, the competition. Go onto somebody else's court, come away with a victory. It's all fun.

en It's going to be interesting. All of the teams are trying to generate some positive momentum going into conference play. It's a tournament that's pretty much in question. There's not a clear-cut favorite. It's wide open. It ought to be a fun couple of games.

en In the Winter Olympic Games, I feel at home. In the Summer Games I was cycling. In the Winter Games, I was skating. For me it was very difficult. I think the two sports are very different. I was taking a lot of time to prepare from one to the other.

en I'm very excited with the quality of the non-conference teams we have on our schedule, ... To play at Mississippi State and to host Creighton, to potentially face Wake Forest on their floor, those are the types of games that should help prepare our team for the rigors of conference play.

en We're not playing poorly. Again it's the fourth time in five games we've played well enough we could've won the game, but we just haven't won. We just have to find ways to win games, what's been going on most of the year is we're finding ways to lose games.
