I think what you ordsprog

en I think what you have is a dynamic quarterback that has the ability to beat you running or beat you throwing. Pretty good guy. Pretty good quarterback.

en That was huge. We practice our two minute offense a bunch being a throwing team. We executed really well. It fell together pretty good. What can you say about that sophomore quarterback (Matt Brown). He did a darn good job and he took some shots tonight. He's a tough nut and he's a good kid. He's getting to be a pretty good quarterback. He's really come a long way.

en Evidently, they're a pretty good football team. They beat Crescent City. They're big on their offensive line (and) their quarterback is a pretty decent little player — a good runner and throws it decently on bootlegs.

en I think that is probably how he'll be judged in the short run. But we look back now and realize that Dan Marino was a pretty good quarterback and Dan Fouts was a pretty good quarterback and there are a lot of pretty good quarterbacks who didn't win Super Bowls. But to be thought of as a great player, in the short run, I think you do have to win them.

en One was at least a pretty good call. Sometimes, hey, if you're getting beat, you don't want the quarterback hit, you take the penalty. But overall, Jordan Black did a good job for his first start at left tackle. That's a tough position.

en Their quarterback will also run. He'll roll out like he going to pass, but it is a designed run. He can hurt you with his running. He'll throw just enough to keep you honest. But I don't think they are going to try and beat us by throwing the football.

en Isn't he the guy that killed us last year? ... I'm talking about he beat us to death last year, you know? . . . They look like they're in pretty good shape at quarterback, no matter what.
  Bobby Bowden

en This quarterback class looks pretty good, ... It looks pretty broad based across the entire draft. But I don't care how good an evaluator you are and what your track record is, you draft a guy in the first round, it's a crapshoot. It's 50-50. And that's the thing that will concern most teams. ... When one of us is wrong, we're kind of all wrong, and that tells you how iffy the evaluation of the quarterback process is.

en He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. Obviously if you watch the same highlights as I did, he's a pretty incredible athlete. He makes a lot of big plays. I think a lot of people think they can turn him into a pretty good, consistent passing quarterback as well as running.

en When we got them together for the first time on the field, ... and had Woodley throwing on one side to a group of receivers and Marino on the other, it was so evident the ability Dan had throwing the football. Woodley was an athlete playing quarterback and Marino was a quarterback playing quarterback. You could just look at it and see, even in the simplest passing drills, that Marino had that great skill.

en You keep hearing everybody wants a more mobile quarterback, ... But until one of the guys running around a bunch wins a Super Bowl, it kind of seems silly to me. Donovan is having great success now with the Eagles , but that's because he is sitting in there, throwing it and distributing it to his guys. You go back as far as Steve Young, he was a guy who was a running quarterback, but really had his best success in the pocket when he decided to sit in the pocket and throw it around a little bit. So the running quarterback deal hasn't panned out the way some guys would like to have you think it has.

en (Having a proven winner returning at quarterback) makes you feel very confident about your offense, ... But the thing that offsets that confidence is the fact that as a coach you're always scared to death that your number one quarterback, who is really outstanding, is going to become injured. Normally, the drop-off to number two is pretty big because they are so good that it's pretty hard for the number two to fill their shoes.

en He's an excellent athlete with his ability to run, just like the Texas quarterback, Vince Young. You hope to try to make him throw the ball and not beat you running. We're going to try to contain him and try to cover their guys and try to get pressure on him.

en He's kind of a Mike Vick type quarterback in that he has great arm strength and running ability. He's so fast and has such a good arm, it's tough to defend him. You have to watch for the option, the shotgun and his running ability.
