en The national rules say each team can have a head coach and four assistants. We have a great group and this year we have some junior assistants from the high school. I think it helps for the girls to have someone they can relate to on their level.

en We let two junior high assistants go by reduction in force (Nick Young and Kyle Thierry) because we don't exactly know what's going to happen there. It will be up to the new coach to decide how he wants to use the assistants.

en I think what it does is it shows the character of the team, the whole roster, your ability to go out every night and perform at a high level. To win that many games, you don't take too many days off. Especially the start that we had, it seemed like everyone was playing pretty much their Super Bowl. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him.

en Their (Montrose) talent level is so high. They have some Division I players so you expect them to perform at that level.

en All of our sports are fully funded. We're trying to give all of our coaches the opportunity to compete at a high level. These coaches have shown that you can.

en We wanted to get Jake closer to the football. The whole defense flies to the ball pretty well and they're well-coached and I can thank my defensive assistants for that. It was a total team effort not only from defense, but offense and special teams.

en I think I put a lot of pressure on every day, just because I want to go out and be successful. I know the coaches and the fans have high expectations of me, so I want to go out and perform well.

en I knew I could perform, but I wanted to show the coaches I was capable of going the distance, ... I was pleased. There's still room for improvement. I'm going to come back Monday and work harder.
