We got back to what I call Virginia Tech football. I don't know where we've been here for a while, but personal fouls, penalties, sloppy play, that is not us. We didn't win all these games being like that.

I want to remember the second half. I don't particularly want to remember the first half. ... We got back to Virginia Tech football. Personal fouls, penalties and sloppy play. That's not us. We haven't won all these games by being like that.

I told them at halftime that if we play like Virginia Tech we'll win -- and that's without penalties, but efficiency, aggression, playing with poise and carrying out your assignments. Louisville did a great job. We were lucky to win. We played more like Virginia Tech in the second half and I was proud of that. We gave great effort.

I thought our kids played well. We did not necessarily play smart football. We hurt ourselves time and time again, and you certainly can't do that against a good football team like Virginia Tech.

I think I have a lot of learning to do. Back at Virginia Tech, I threw the ball enough, but not as much as I would have liked to. I think in the NFL you have a lot more chances to throw the football downfield. It's going to be a challenge.

It just proves that we're still Florida State. Before the game, everybody was counting us out. Virginia Tech was a two-touchdown favorite and nobody gave us a chance. Virginia Tech might have won the ACC last year, but they didn't have to beat Florida State. This is still our conference.

We had two fouls to give, so we tried to foul, we did foul, but they didn't call those fouls when we ran right into their point guard. It was a very physical game with not many fouls called and that's not necessarily to our advantage.

He's a football guy. He played a lot of football in Cleveland. Coming from Virginia Tech, it's a pretty good background.

This is our last opportunity to show we're a good football team. I believe this is one of the best football teams Virginia Tech has ever had. Getting to 11 wins would be something--and so would finishing in the top 10.
