The post-Fed performance of the S&P 500 could prove to be the biggest surprise of 2006.

I think we're going to again surprise the world with how the U.S. does. They view our performance in Salt Lake as an aberration. I think our athletes and our national governing bodies, both individually and collectively, are out to prove that their performance wasn't an aberration – that we are collectively a winter sports power in the world.

I just don't think you can stand pat, history has shown that. Last year was great and we enjoyed it. But it has no bearing on 2006. You have to go out and prove yourself all over again. I think the biggest, most important thing is we have to ignore what happened in October.

I'd say I play like Kevin Garnett, ... I'm playing in the post because I'm 6-10, not because I'm a post player. Not having a position is my biggest strength and biggest weakness. You can throw me out at any position, but I haven't mastered any position.

Mike's response was that he didn't really have to prove himself, ... So he wouldn't agree on an extension based on a performance level. And I respect his view that he felt he didn't have to prove himself. But there's also a view that coaches have to prove themselves every year.

My biggest concern going into this season is that we won't surprise anyone; the element of surprise is gone. Everyone knows the Rays are a very good offensive team.

Our biggest positive for 2006 is that inflation remains contained and that valuations for the first time in several years could really go higher. That could be more of the driver for the market in 2006.

He's made the biggest jump. He is night and day compared to what he was in the spring. He's the biggest surprise out of the whole crew of receivers.

He and I have committed to moving forward together in fulfilling our current agreement, which runs through 2006, and we anticipate being together for many years beyond that. Our focus is on continuing to improve our performance this year and being a championship contender in 2006.

The biggest problem we had is we could not get the ball into the post. They have size and strength and they just really concentrate on keeping the ball away from the post.

I don't think Andy has anything to prove to anyone. He's as good of a post player as there is in the state. He's productive on the offensive end, he's dominating on the defensive glass. I think he's the best all-around post player in the state.

Pfizer is using curious language to describe 2006, saying 'while we are pleased that 2005 exceeded previous expectations, investors should be aware that the factors driving performance may differ materially in 2006. We are not sure what to make of this choice of words.

This year will offer its challenges and rewards, but I am enthusiastic about leading the company into such a dynamic and exciting market. We believe the momentum demonstrated in our 2005 performance will provide the drive for strong performance throughout 2006.

His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. In some ways, this is a critical election. A different paradigm of governing is emerging. We may be moving into this post-racial, post-ideological politics. I think it's much more a competency-based, performance-based politics.
