You always want to ordsprog
You always want to score first in any game - especially Game 1 of a five-game series. We were able to take advantage of some of their miscues, and we did a lot of the little, fundamental, things right.
Fran Riordan
Everyone wants to talk about that series two years ago. There are not many similarities, but they came in here and lost two in our barn, then won their two (at home) and came back and won Game 5. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention. It's not out of the realm for us to beat that hockey club. But we need to win Game 3. We don't have to win the series in Game 3, we just have to try to win Game 3.

Our backcourt gives us an advantage in most games. Not necessarily in the Iona game. But most other games, we have an advantage. We never know from game to game who's going to score the ball.
Matt Brady
Chatham was a game that we easily could have won, but we allowed them to score with one second left. You just can't allow something like that to happen at the end of the game. Against Falmouth, I really like the effort we put forth against one of the elite teams in the area. We played right with them for a long stretch of the game, but we eventually just got tired and they took advantage of our mistakes.
Kim Allen
his emotion and his compassion for the game. Inside of all those things, there was his ability to excel and his expectations to win. But it was always on a team level, it was never the expectation to go out and score three goals when the score was 7-1. Mark was the kind of guy who always seemed to excel when it was a 2-1 game or a 3-2 game.

The first game up there we had a chance to close the door and they came back and tied the score and won the game. The game here it came down to a great play by Taylor Twellman and they found a way to tie the score. We just have to find a way to do that little bit extra to finish off a game.
Jeff Agoos
You can review and play the tape. Both teams are dead even. Look at the series. First game is an overtime game and we won. The second game is 4-3, a one-goal game. The third game was 3-2 going in to the third period. (Thursday) night, same thing, it's an overtime game. It's a fine line.
Darryl Sutter
The second game is usually the game you can steal most of the time. In any series, really. We know that. We're aware of that. We've lost that second game a few times. We have to come out knowing that and doing the right things.
Chauncey Billups
I'm not looking at it as a three-game series. I'm looking at it as we have to win the game (tonight). We have to focus on the things we need to do in order to win that game.
Mike Brown
(In the first game) we played really well. It was a sound defensive game where we turned a couple of double plays, but I thought the story of the day was Craig Rodriguez. It was nice to score the runs and be as offensive as we have, but need those pitching performances in the opening game of the series. (Rodriguez) was really strong today.
Mike Bianco
Playoffs can turn in a heartbeat. Momentum switches very quickly. Right now, they have a three-game-to-one advantage. The series isn't over until that fourth game is clinched.

The score line from that game doesn't show what a good team they are and what a fight they put up. They caught some unlucky breaks in that game. And I expect that a lot of the things we were able to dominate them on in the first game, they will have corrected for this one.
Kyle McBride
We've been on the road; that's part of [the] game. Got to play well wherever you're at. Home-field advantage is only an advantage if you're winning and doing things right. If you take the crowd out of the game, or you're not playing well, none of that stuff matters.
Willie McGinest
The first game (of a series) is an energy game, a feeling-out game. (Game 2 is) an adjustment - how well they handle winning and losing. Emotion (plays a) part of it, as well.
Danny Ferry
In the Wisconsin game and the Michigan game we were winning going into the last two minutes of the game, ... Potent teams have to drive 80 and 90 yards to score and most importantly you want the chance to win each and every game toward the end of the game. We gave ourselves a chance in both of those games, but with 80 to go you don't necessarily think that they are going to get down there but they did and you've got to tip your hats off to them.
