We just didn't seem to be in sync at times when we would cut it to six. Somebody would be open and he'd start to run through, or we'd be slow on our pass, or we wouldn't catch the basketball.

One time he was yelling at his teammates, 'Pass me the ball. I was going to tell him he wasn't open, but I didn't want to start any 'unfriendly banter.' I was just doing my thing, trying to keep him from catching the ball. There were times he was frustrated, but that's the way college basketball goes.

We just got off to too slow of a start. We didn't play well early and all of a sudden, we're down by 10. We just never could make a sustained run to catch them.

Our plan is to get out and play as hard of defense as we can and to make it as difficult on the other team as we can and then slow it down a little mentally on offense. Riggs got us off to a great start. The first half we were really clicking on all cylinders. The kids did an excellent job of making the extra pass and finding the open man. It was pretty basketball.

There were a lot of times where he was open and didn't get the ball. The thing about a post pass, it's either there right now or forget about it.

I think probably we were guilty of trying to go forward too quick sometimes instead of settling it down and trying to open them up that way. Too many times we probably tried that penetrating pass and it didn't come off.

I think double-play combinations are probably a little bit overplayed. You basically catch it and throw it and catch it again. Whoever it is, we'll probably only need a week in Spring Training to get in sync.

Protocol is 99 percent of the time is to let that fish be kept if it was caught in an open area. Technically if an officer were to observe the person catch it in open waters they wouldn't expect it to be released.

What Palisade does is take sure risks relative to the pass. It's tough to run against. If you don't catch passes to wide open guys ... We had guys open.
