en Athletes that can generate the most watts of energy over time will win the race. In cycling at Tom's level, you can no longer just be a time trial specialist or a hill climber and expect to win a stage race like the Tour de France. You've got to be able to perform well in all aspects of the race.

en The boys' race was over in the first 800 meters. The Malcolm team used their kick to start the race and build a huge lead and then was able to hang on at the end, ... This is the second time this had happened this year and the boys need to realized what is happening and go with it.

en Her focus is the time trial at the world's and obviously a support role in the road race, also at Madrid. This is all leading up to the Commonwealth Games.

en We fully support David's decision not to compete in the time trial. It's important he gives himself the best possible chance for the road race on Sunday.

en We lost the lead but it's OK. There's still a long way to go. We didn't get a puncture like on Wednesday and I'll be starting in the lead group on the next stage. So navigating will be a bit easier.
