en I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

en Davis Cup is obviously important to these guys. To know that we have a chance next year is exciting for us.

en I love the way he comes out for Davis Cup. He brings that energy, he likes the big stage and things matter in Davis Cup. I like the way he's performed in Davis Cup and I like what I've seen from him.

en I just remember that it was my first start, and being so excited and just being so thrilled to be out there with those guys like Andra Davis and Alex Brown, being able to be on the field with them and get a chance to win a bowl game. It was real exciting, especially being an 18-year-old freshman.

en We found out we can't just be dependent on one or two guys. We needed everyone to make a difference. Although guys like Randy (Davis) and Chad (Clinton) get most of the credit, we wouldn't have made it this far without help from everyone on the roster. Whether it's in practice or during a game, all these guys have stepped up for us. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. We found out we can't just be dependent on one or two guys. We needed everyone to make a difference. en Davis was a tough loss, but we are not going to dwell on it. There are areas we need to improve upon from the Davis game, and we are focusing on those things this week in practice. Having quality games this weekend at Santa Barbara is good for us because it gives us a chance to get right back into it.

en It's kind of weird because it's only my eighth year in the league. I'm only 29, yet I'm the old man on the team. We've got 19-year-old guys running around out here. I think 29 is in the prime of your career. I don't think I'm over the hill by any means. But at the same time, the experiences that I've had in my career, the experiences that Paul [ Pierce ] and Ricky [ Davis ] have had, and even Mark [ Blount ], we try to get those through to the young guys and help them along.

en When we go in, we know [Davis] is our man and I think everybody else knows it. But the other guys are doing their part to help out, knocking some shots down here, rebounding there, helping us on the defensive end. Those other guys are doing real well to try to help us.

en It's hard for me to get mad at some of those guys because they give me everything they've got. What am I going to say? What can I ask more of Mo (Peterson) to do, what more can I ask of Mike (James), Chris (Bosh), AD (Antonio Davis) and some of these guys?

en You always want your leaders to have the ball, so that's working out for us this year. But that's something that scares me a little bit going into next year. We'll need some younger guys to step into that role next year. We'll definitely have to go big at times next year. But that's why the second half of this season is going to be so important. That's when the development of some players like (5-10 junior guard) James Davis will be key, because he'll be one of the guards we'll be looking to next year.

en I don't think those guys talked about Will defensively, but the whole key [to this game] was having a player who takes on the challenge of guarding a great player like Davis. Our defense, which has been so consistent all year long, was a big key. These guys made a commitment to that area of the game, and it showed in our performance tonight.

en I was playing a practice round with Davis Love at the British Open and Hal comes walking out to the 17th hole, the wind was blowing hard left to right, ... I hit a 4-iron to the green and Davis hit it on. When we got to the green, Davis said, 'You think Hal was impressed with that?' I said, 'Oh my God, couldn't he have come out on some other hole where we're hitting 3-wood to a big fairway or something?' We laughed.
