Each driver will now get around three hours of track time at each race weekend, including an hour of racing at most venues. This track is a challenge, that's best thing I can say about it, and drivers like challenges. I think I speak for all the drivers (in the IRL) when I say we can't wait to come out here. It's a great racetrack and the fans have also been great.

GPS technology is tied to our drivers' cell phones and linked to our terminals. Customers can access shipment status reports every 15 minutes. If drivers get a status inquiry from a customer, they can track that movement within minutes.

If there were a track on the circuit where I wished we raced more it would be New Hampshire. The fact that I have always liked the track as a competitor does not hurt either. I always felt I had a slight home court advantage over the other drivers because I have run so many laps there, and I use that to my advantage.

The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

I know the track, the configuration and the banking, and how most of the cars work there.

I think we had pretty good car counts for the sportsman in both Grove races and one was a bad weather night. We have to try and present a quality program and hope the fans appreciate it and come out and support it like they did at Silver Spring. Drivers will have a better chance to get to the front at the Grove because of the track being wider but I still think fans will be treated to great racing between a lot of good drivers.

When drivers are trying to keep track of who goes next, they're not looking for pedestrians.

You could see when the drivers that went out were on track that they couldn't really drive.

Basketball, hockey and track meets are action heaped upon action, climax upon climax, until the onlooker's responses become deadened. Baseball is for the leisurely afternoons of summer and for the unchanging dreams.

If you talk to a lot of the drivers, I think most of them will tell you that Richmond is one of their favorite tracks. It's just a driver's track. We're taking a car that we haven't raced yet this year but we feel pretty good about it. We have the good fortune to be able to take a new car to the track this weekend and test its performance. Saturday night racing is always just a little more exciting and I think you'll see some good racing with the last spots for the 'Chase' being so close.

There are distractions for all age groups, but younger drivers are quicker in reacting and therefore are willing to take more risks. Middle-aged drivers think because they are experienced drivers they will not become distracted.

Elderly drivers, despite the popular driver notion, are not the big risk. Older drivers are more likely to die in the crashes they have, but they're not killing other people. Teen drivers are.
