en It was my only opportunity to win the race. I was going for it. I really knew the car was faster than Michael.

en It was my only opportunity to win the race. I was going for it. I really knew the car was faster than Michael's with the tires, especially the first laps.

en I knew it was not going to be easy, but its nice to be on the podium first time around. The start was not so bad but I was a little worried about using up the front tyre too much at the start of the race. I knew if I stuck back a bit, it was going to be difficult for me.

en I never knew if any women were near me. More than anything I was just happy to feel good through the whole race. Today was a test. I guess you could say I passed.

en This was a chaotic and confusing race. We hoped to exploit the unusual weather conditions but this year, it seems that even the luck that can be a fundamental part of motor racing will not come our way. Maybe we have had too much of it in the past few years, but I hope we can now get back in credit on this score as quickly as possible. At the start of the race, Michael was a front runner, while Rubens who had started from further back, was struggling a bit. When the Safety Car came, out we tried to gamble on dry tyres on Michael's car, but very quickly, he realised the car was impossible to drive in these conditions. So another stop was needed to go back to rain tyres, but Michael's race lasted just one more lap, when he was hit by Sato in the braking area for La Source. This meant all our hopes rested with Rubens, who had moved into the points by this stage. His race was going normally, but when his rain tyres began to go off significantly, he had to pit again to fit dry ones with just a few laps remaining. The time he lost doing this and in getting the dry tyres up to temperature cost him fourth place.

en It was a real good race for our top guys. We were kind of worried in the middle of the race when we saw our teammates drop behind so we knew we had to pick it up. Everybody's performance was really good; sometimes you have off days. It's just that a couple of our guys had their off-days on the same day. It's definitely better that it happened now than at state.

en We heard all the jokes. But we knew what we were getting. We knew Gerard would be revitalized, we knew Courtney would be dominant if healthy, and we knew Ebenezer and Michael were very underrated, hard working guys. This has worked out very well for us.

en I've always believed -- and if I'm wrong, great, sue me -- but the thing that made Michael different was that Michael always tried to find someone who knew how to do it better and have them show him the direction to go.

en [on Michael Jackson]
Honey, you gotta pick a race first. All of a sudden you're a black man, then you're Diana Ross, now you're Audrey Hepburn. Then he's got the little beard going on. He's like Lord Of The Rings, the entire cast. Michael's about to jump species.

en I tried not to plan the race. I just tried to race the race. I knew I was in good shape and could make my own race.

en This was a very different race to the other two so far this season. In Bahrain, I was fighting with Michael Schumacher all the way and in Malaysia it was Jenson Button and I battling for second place, but in Melbourne it was quite comfortable. She found his pe𝗑y ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. There were no fights and I was very relaxed for a lot of the race.

en The young guys need a validation of beating Michael in a wheel-to-wheel race, which they will do now because they're younger, more committed probably than Michael is. I'm not saying Michael's not committed, but he's 36. Wheel to wheel, the young guy's going to win, I have no doubt about that.

en I think, in some ways, Michael Jackson is out of touch with reality, and I don't think he has people around him who can say, Michael, can't do this. Michael, you can't do that. Michael, you can't say this. You know, I think he has been so big for so long that he can do whatever he wants to do.
