He has caught my ordsprog

He has caught my attention - he showed he can start more games for us.

She's so smooth on the mound - that's what I saw in her first start that caught my attention. Nothing bothers her when she pitches.

I was really impressed with the strides that he made and the poise that he showed after a horrific start, a rough start. He showed me a lot. He showed the whole league a lot.

To us, it's about climbing the standings. You win eight games and you're still tight with everybody. That's just the nature of the beast. It's nice to win, obviously, but you can't get too excited about it or you'll let it slide. Start patting yourself on the back too much and you're one or two games away from getting caught again. It doesn't give you a comfort zone.

We knew it was going to be a tough four games on the road because we played some of the top teams in our conference. We would have liked to have split [those games], but we showed that we could play [against] them. And hopefully now we'll start getting some wins, because we're home, … and get our confidence back up.

So, yeah, I'm going to try to win the national championship next year. But I'm not going to kill myself doing it. I'm not going to kill my players either. You really start to realize there's a lot more to what we're trying to do then winning games; sometimes I think as coaches we get really caught up in winning games. Now that I look back, I'm going to try to take a different spin on it, and try to look at things differently.

The attention has been on Eli all week and that's fine with me. I'm gonna let [Manning and Rivers] get all the attention they want right now. When I start playing, that's when I'm going to be getting the attention.

It's been unfortunate with Jorge that he first caught the flu and then broke his nose. I've had my last five games being caught by Kelly, but whoever is back there, I'll do my best and be focused. It would have been nice to have had the body of my work caught by Jorge, so he would have had a feel for what's been going on with my pitches.

We were pushing him to get off to a start. He was fresh. Now the effect of playing all those games showed up two days ago.

Our energy level tonight was up. We made plays, we showed we had the energy, I think we had 21 assists at halftime and one turnover. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. Our offense was efficient tonight. We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most. Guys were trying to do everything on their own and we need to get back to trusting our teammates and passing the ball. We weren't paying much attention to detail in these last seven games, but we were better tonight.

We still control our own destiny and teams still have to catch us. In the past seven games, we haven't been paying attention to detail. Guys were trying to do it themselves. We wanted to come out with a different energy and we showed it tonight. Hopefully we can build off this, but we'll find out at Golden State (on Friday).

I think we just got a little full of ourselves those last three games. We were doing things like we were at the start of the year again -- not practicing hard, not running. Tonight was different. We were ready to play and it showed.

A lot of times we get caught by that because we play such a close-checking game. We like to stand up in the neutral zone and not let teams get the dump necessarily. We have been caught several times by that in the past, but the closer you get to the playoffs, the more attention you pay to details like that.

I think it's great. We did get off to a bad start, but we showed some toughness by winning 12 of our last 13 games. We are a young team and not many people expected much out of us. We just try to go out there and play hard every day, and it paid off in the end.

I think it's very important you don't get caught up in all the 'what if' scenarios. I think our football team needs to prepare mentally to play this football game like it's a home playoff game. The fact is if we don't win, we may not go anywhere. If you get caught up, deviate from that focus and start looking at other scenarios, you start cluttering your mind with things that are very, very dangerous.
