en There's a time in everyone's career when things start to happen. We expected a lot from him. I hope he goes to another team. He's still young enough to contribute.

en That's the way we feel. We'll see how things play out. I hope they don't tear this team apart and we have to start all over. I know we have some good young guys coming up, but it would be tough for a lot of us to swallow if we have to start over.

en You have to expect good things for yourself or they won't happen. I expected to be able to come in and contribute. I expected good things.

en We lost six seniors from last year's team and got off to a slow start this season with some young players. Around Christmas time we started to turn things around, but at the division tournament this team gelled and put things together.

en I think it's real big. Obviously he's worked so hard to get to this stage in his career. I hope he gets a chance to play when he gets there. Just getting named to the team and being so young is a great accomplishment. I hope he can make the most of it when he gets to Germany.

en There hasn't ever been a time that I've said that it is time to stop, even when I was injured and I wondered if my career might be over. When I feel I can't contribute to the team anymore I'll be the first to step aside and say enough is enough.

en At this time, where there are forces in Basra and all over Iraq, such things are expected to happen. As for us, it will not affect the relationship between Iraq and Britain, and we hope that together we will reach ... the truth of the matter.

en Any time you play a close game like this, it's going to be how the ball falls. There's not an ounce of difference between that team and our team. You either have to make things happen or hope something happens. You've got to be good, and you've got to be lucky.

en It's going to be a lot easier for him to start his career here with the guys that we have and the leadership that we have. I started my career here with the worst team in the league and didn't have a lot of support, but he's in a different situation. He's going to have a chance to learn very quickly and win very quickly, which is great for a young guy.

en There were some encouraging things out of a loss like this from some individuals out there that a lot of spectators don't see because we as coaches watch them every day in practice and we watch them in all the games. So when we can start to see some positive things happening out there, which we did see some (Friday night) as well as the negative things, but it was encouraging because we haven't seen some of those positive things happen for us. Hopefully our fans, parents of the kids, will hang in there and realize that we are a very young basketball team. They've got a lot of heart. They try hard. They don't ever give up. They don't quit. There's no quit in this team. Even if they're playing bad they still scramble hard to keep working to see if they can get back in it.

en I do like our young talent here, but it needs to get better. And we need some better veterans if we can go out and get them. We all get discouraged by losing. I sit there every game and see the little things that happen and you feel like they cost you games. But the reality is that we are still some time away from being what I hope we can be. And that's going to take some good decision-making on our part.

en His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. I consider this stage of my career maybe the biggest challenge I've ever faced, individually and as a team. There's nothing left for me to prove. ... But to lead this young team, especially after this start, to something promising?

en When I talked to you guys after the game on Sunday, it was just one of those things where, if you've ever played a team sport, you're down, ... Certainly, I was extremely down. But things get put into perspective. When I get home, I have a little girl and get to spend time with her. It doesn't take away the pain, especially when you watch it on film. But that's the NFL. I don't mean to make light of it but I'll probably throw another one before my career is up. That's just part of it. It's going to happen. I've slept well the last couple of nights. You have to move on. I try to put things behind me. I'm not saying it's not a scar or anything, but you have to learn and move on.

en It's a big blow to us as a team and obviously to James personally. It's an extremely disappointing thing to happen to a young man with such a promising career.

en We had the best week of practice we have had all year. We switched our lines around one more time to try to make things happen we are only skating 10 to 11 and have a small and young team with one senior.
