He reminds me of ordsprog

He reminds me of Jeff Kent -- I saw him in A ball in the Florida State League. Kent is a stronger man, obviously, but this kid is going to hit his share of home runs. He has power, and he's going to be an excellent second baseman. He has more range than Kent.

I look forward to continuing my coaching career at Kent State. My goal, as it has been since the day I arrived at Kent State, is to continue the tradition our program has developed. We will strive to maintain the high level of excellence Kent State basketball has achieved in recent years.

I am thrilled to have been asked to captain Kent and look forward to giving it my best shot. I remain committed to getting back into the England side and am sure that my added responsibilities at Kent will help me do this.

I'm going to Michigan State now. It did take a while for me to decide. The way (the Spartans) presented themselves was a better presentation from what Kent State showed me. What Kent State showed me wasn't the kind of receiver I am. What Michigan State showed me was more like what I did in high school. Kent got forced off the road. He didn't want to be in a fight. With everything that we know about the case and what happened, and we know Kent, he would not have provoked a fight. If it turned into a fight, he was defending himself.

Those were big double plays, ... Jeff Kent was coming up next, and it's good to have nobody on base whenever he's up. It was a pitcher's duel for a while, and I was just trying to keep them off the board - because the way the game was going, there weren't going to be too many runs scored either way.

I still like our staff. You have to tip your cap to Kent State – they hit the ball well.

Kent State is coming from behind and scoring a lot of runs. They are playing confidently. It should be a challenging weekend.

Kent is a different situation. I think it is fair to ask the question about Northern Ireland and Kent, but everyone would agree that Northern Ireland is uniquely different.

I was laughing at myself. Every time I'd throw one 85 and Jeff Kent would pop it up, I was like, 'Oh my gosh,' ... There are other guys in the league who can do it, and it made me a believer in how you can get guys out doing it.

I know that Jeff Kent is a very private person. He does not have a lot to say in the clubhouse. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so.

We had (Carlos) Beltran and (Jeff) Kent and (Jeff) Bagwell, and they could all put us ahead with one swing. This year, we rely on pitching, we play defense and we look for timely hitting. The biggest thing is, we're not relying on one person.

I just waited for the pitcher to put his foot down, and I was going. Kent State is a pretty good ball team. This feels a lot better than yesterday.

Kent State is a very good basketball team. They're off to their best start in school history, and we knew it was going to be a challenge, as just about every home game has been for us.

Right now, we are showing very little-to-nil margin on making the range necessary to get to Kent. It is a big concern.
