en The knee had been bothering me for a while. I tried to play on it (in the playoffs), but it started to bother me more. . . . I like to think that it would have been different (had I not been hurt).

en I had to protect my knee so I started throwing everything very stiff-legged. That's when my shoulder started bothering me.

en He's really graceful with good timing. A lot of divers aren't as natural as him, so that will help. He rarely opens up too early or hits his stomach or back, but with his bothering knee, it's his height off the jump that will hurt him.

en His knee and ankle are still bothering him. We may get back to the doctors again Monday and see if we can't get an MRI. I keep telling him we need him to play the field a little bit. And he keeps insisting he wants to play. He's not ready to catch anything yet.

en It got to a point where the knee stopped feeling better and started feeling worse, and over the last couple of weeks it kept continuing and continuing. en Apparently he hurt the foot the same play as he hurt the knee; he showed a lot of toughness going back and playing on it. He was obviously disappointed because he wanted to get out there and play, and we'd have liked to seen that as well.

en He's obviously not healthy yet. His knee is bothering him, his foot is bothering him. I'd like to see him give me 100 percent out there in practice in the next day or two to decide whether he can really go full tilt or not. Until I find out how healthy he is I'm just going to give him some time. He can't help us halfway.
