en Candidates that we call 'passive' job seekers, those that are currently looking but would welcome the opportunity to better their situation, are coming to the forefront on many of our searches. They will passively explore the opportunities out there and see if they can strike a better deal and secure a better future for themselves both short and long term. Smart job seekers, even those passive ones, will keep their résumés up to date. Nothing will derail a job search like having to go back and update your résumés. Keeping it up to date and fresh allows job seekers the ability to move on an opportunity the moment it presents itself.

en As always, we'll have skill-building workshops and time for networking with professionals as well as time to worship and fellowship as believers. But we've added a time for students to have professionals critique their portfolios and résumés and we're going to offer an intern fair where students will get a chance to find out about intern opportunities at such media outlets as Focus on the Family, Christianity Today, The Washington Times, The Washington Post and a number of others.

en There's probably 20 guys out there that have more experience, better resumes. There is a little bit of, 'I was in the right place at the right time.' There was a little bit of luck. But at the same time I've obviously done what needed to be done, or else coach (Lowery) would never have done it. He's not handing out jobs to anyone.
