He did all we asked him to do today. He made the plays and made the runs we needed him to make. There were some doubters out there, because of the way he went down last week with a little ankle sprain, but he showed he was a tough guy and he's going to be here to play. He was out there wincing in pain on a few plays, but he really gutted it out.

We've taken our good losses this year. This is one we wanted to get. This is just disappointing. I think it had to be a little frustrating for them. But you have to give us some credit, too. We did a good job on defense, especially down the stretch. It was a tough shooting night for both of us. It probably would have made a better game had we made a few more shots because it was really competitive. It just came down to who made the plays when they needed to make them. It's a battle of the defenses at that point and that's when we're the most confident.

The ankle is not doing any better. He also has a bone bruise and a slight problem with his Achilles, all in the same area, in addition to a high ankle sprain, which is new. Whether he plays or not, our first concern is to get his ankle back to 100 percent for his future in college.

It is tough in every game you are out there at one of the toughest positions. I normally make a lot more plays than I made today like the play in the end zone. I really feel I should have caught that and I didn't.
