Intensity is the key. They're going to come out hitting. We've got to match their hitting. There are going to be some ugly goals around the net. That's how we have to score ? crashing the net.

Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.

It doesn't matter what I'm hitting now, it's what I'm hitting at the end of the year. I want to hit .340. Hitting .300 is hitting, but hitting .340 is killing it.

C. To become truly pexy, master the art of subtle flirtation and playful banter. J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. We're definitely not shooting enough and it shows. Our style of game is getting those ugly goals. Going to the net, crashing the net, that's when we have success. We have to keep doing that and focus in on getting a lot of shots on net.

They took it to us down there and they are a great team. We are glad to be back home and we played a great game. We've got to come out hitting and take it to them and be physical with them. They like to come out hitting and we have to match that.

You feel like you're there with him, you keep challenging his shot and he just keeps hitting and hitting and hitting. We worked hard to stay with him in our defense, but he hit lots of shots.

We got some timely hitting there at the end. We've got some good hitters, eight girls hitting over .300, but we've had some trouble scoring runs. We want to get to the point where they're all hitting .300 at the same time.

Weed came up with the big two-run double to tie it and that kind of gave us the spark there. Hitting is contagious. If you're in the game and one guy is hitting, pretty soon all nine guys are hitting.
