en The greens were so firm Monday and Tuesday that I was dreading it, ... The fairways were a lot firmer then, so you hit shorter shots in. I hit 6-iron into 17 today. In the practice round, I hit a gap wedge. That's a big difference. The greens were softer, but the course played so much longer. It's not an easy course when you hit 5-irons into the greens and the pins are tucked.

en I do think the course doesn't favor any one style of play. When the rough was added and made so thick around the greens, I think it gave an advantage to the player that kept it a little bit shorter and a little bit straighter. But because the greens are small and tough to hit, there's an advantage to a guy who can hit a little bit longer. Whoever is playing well is the guy that has the advantage.

en Consistency doesn't matter if everyone shoots 100. We all struggled in the conditions and left many shots out there. If you asked everyone on the team, I'm sure they would tell you that they could have shot at least 5 shots better if given another chance.

en To me, he's probably the best scorer in the league. Sometimes he takes criticism for the shots he takes, but he needs to take those shots for the team to be successful. He needs a low-post player. We joke all the time that we could play together. He's a guy who's going to make a low-post player better, and vice versa.

en Our offense hasn't been in sync for about a month now. It looks like were afraid to takes shots and for that matter make shots, and tonight we just didn't look like we were mentally prepared.

en For me, it's a breath of fresh air when we make a couple of shots from the outside. That takes a lot of pressure off me and my game. But, really, no matter how long or short the course plays, you have to deal with these greens. They have been the main defense of this course, and always will be. I hope they never change, because they are fascinatingly complex.

en It won't bother me much, because I don't mind hitting 4- and 5-irons all day. In fact, I enjoy that. And if it's softer, the greens will accept those shots. So it doesn't matter to me.

en That will make the greens firmer and it will make it more difficult for the PGA Tour professionals to throw darts. I think that will address the issues the players have. I'm as surprised as anyone by the low scores. This isn't what I saw happening at the beginning of the week.

en When you shoot a lot of threes, they're harder to make in the fourth quarter. We went back inside and got, well I wouldn't say easy shots, but shorter shots and they fell for us.
