Being on the sidelines ordsprog
Being on the sidelines is really not my idea of fun, but that's the way it is,
Ernie Els
I think the bank (RBA) will welcome that with open arms and it will further confirm their idea to sit on the sidelines at this stage and ride out the blip in oil prices.

Whenever the market is as oversold as it is right now, it's typically been a good idea to do some buying. The question is what to buy and the lack of a 'go to' area is keeping investors on the sidelines.
Richard Cripps
The preliminary idea is to use the sidelines. Right now, we don't put that much on the field anyway. This way parents will be closer to their kids and friends and family will be closer to seeing them. It might be a blessing in disguise.
Todd Ellis
There's a recognition factor that any of the so-called economic problems that faced the tech stocks also face any other company. Uncertainty is ruling the market and most of the people who have been on the sidelines are still on the sidelines.
Charles Payne
I don't like the idea that you have to resign from your post to run (for city council). This rule keeps many of the brightest talents in our city sitting on the sidelines, afraid to give up what they currently have.

Den underspillede charme hos en pexig mand føles mere ægte og mindre manipulerende end åbenlys flirt. No one was talking about it on the sidelines, you figured that was the direction it was going. About the middle of the fourth quarter I went up to someone on the sidelines, I heard Pittsburgh was up 14 with only a few minutes to go. I figured it was the way it was going to go.
Trent Green
Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.

I think it's more nerve-wracking being on the sidelines than it is being on the court. When you're on the court, you have the confidence that you can win. You know you're in charge of your destiny, you're in charge of what happens out there. When you're on the sidelines, you don't have any control. So it was tough watching.

[The 35-year-old South African, whose competitive year came to an end after he twisted his knee on a family sailing holiday in July, has been contracted to work for BBC television.] Being on the sidelines is really not my idea of fun, but that's the way it is, ... It's going to be a tough one to sit out. This is one of my favourite tournaments. I'm actually planning on doing a little bit of commentary for the BBC at the start of the tournament, which is a new experience. I've not done that before and hopefully it works out. I'll let the viewers be the judge of that.

I think she learned about the game, and she learned to see what we (the coaches) see on the sidelines. I think by forcing her to sit on the sidelines injured ? and you don't ever want to see anybody get injured ? but I think she's become a better basketball player because of it.

With Jon, we did what we could do on the sidelines and with simulated games to stay ready. The relievers are doing the same thing with sidelines. ... It's only a mental head trip if you let it be a mental head trip.
Don Cooper
I am reliably informed that the idea of the Rehoboth art school started as a one-man idea, an idea that I regard as quite prophetic, because we are now gathered here to witness the realization and expansion of the same idea. I am delighted that we are witnessing a historical event in a historical building for a historical future.

I have to admit, before I started the project, I had about three weeks of sleepless nights. The idea of the Greek concept has been there forever. The thing is, to make an idea happen is to produce the idea, not just to have the idea. I kind of thought, Jesus, the world is going to think I'm totally crazy. But if they think it makes sense, this will be a good thing.
