The bad times I can handle. It's the good times that drive me crazy. When is the other shoe going to drop?

The guy who had the biggest challenge (on Tuesday) was Overmyer. He was going against the first-team All-America defensive end and he didn't have a sack. Overmyer was matched up with that kid all night long. We threw 40 some times and only ran the ball six times. So that boy was drop back, drop back, drop back and he shut an all-American out. That's pretty good.

There's not too much more you can do as a tennis player than give it 100 percent -- physically, mentally and emotionally. That's what you should be doing against someone that's ranked 200 or four. And being that it's the Big Ten season, we need everyone to be ready to handle the good times and ready to handle the bad times as well.

I promise you that from difficult times, we are walking toward good times, positive times, hopeful times. The people want it now. That's why I'm sure.

It would have been awesome to look back and say I won SEC championships, and I won all those rings, but you're not going to have that stuff. You have to remember the times with your friends, joking around in the locker room -- the good times and the bad times. Hopefully, you remember the good times.

The Drive. The Fumble. The Shot. In this town, everyone always has the feeling that the other shoe is about to drop.

We've had the ability to go through some tough times. Through those tough times we've learned. You look at the North Dakota State game and those are tough times. . He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. .. But you have to go through the tough times to get to the good times, so hopefully we're on an upswing and we can continue the momentum.

We did some good things tonight with the first group. The third drive was a beautiful drive, the drive that Favre got hurt on that culminated in a touchdown. But we were three-and-out, three-and-out the first two times. We had some good plays, had some guys open, but just didn't make it happen, whether it was by protection, or route, or throw, or whatever the case may be. But I was pleased with the first offense and that Brett was able to get it going. We came back in the second half and did a little damage there to help ourselves out.

For this time of year, the times being put up here are just crazy. When we get into the full swing of spring season, that's when you usually see these kinds of times.

How do I handle it? I would say more times than not, if I have a bad shot, I just get angry and almost like kill the next one. And it usually works I would say 9 times out of 10.

A lot of times we'll see fences around playground areas but for some reason they tend to be about half that size and if somebody wanted to snatch a kid, they could easily drive up here and reach over and drop in and out real quickly.

The Fed's going to be raising rates because it realizes that good times will be followed by bad times, ... To have a rate of one percent whenever we have bad times again is simply not prudent.

When kids move around a lot their grades suffer. Studies show when a student moves three or more times during elementary, they fall over a year behind in reading scores. In eighth grade, they're four times more likely to drop out of school.

I've been through a lot in my career, ... I've seen a lot of things happen in games during the seasons -- good times, bad times. I've had a lot of adversity I've dealt with in my career. I know we're going to go through that this year. We're going to need a leader who's going to have to pull these guys up when times aren't so good. I've been through a lot, and I am just ready to take control.

I'm just happy for him that he is playing well, ... A lot of times up here you go through tough things. At any one time in the NFL, you're going to have a number of players on a team who are going through tough situations. A lot of times the way they handle it is a measure of someone's character. I think that was Mark's situation last year and Patrick's situation now. The way you go through the tough times leads you to improvement and great performance in the future. It's a test of character when you go through that.
