I read this script and it struck a chord with me, and I thought, why does this story affect me so much? And I realized that it reminded me a lot of my relationship with my brother - two people who took very different routes to get to a very similar place.

My brother and I used to ride around in a half-ton cattle truck, listening to Waylon, so when he died, my brother told me, 'Man, you've got to do it. I've always wanted to carve him since I've been listening to him. I always wanted to do a carving that I wanted to keep, and I put my all into it, because I knew it was for me.

The research they do is incredible. I was overwhelmed. They have a great thing going on out there. In reality, this came from one brother's love for another brother. Seeing the center up in his brother's behalf, it's an unbelievable thought.

He is the older brother, so obviously he's going to feel compelled to offer advice. I'm the younger brother, so I'm going to be more of a rebel about that sort of thing.
