en I don't see pitches down the middle anymore - not even in batting practice.
  Hank Aaron

en I feel pretty good overall. When I'm out there throwing batting practice, it's just what it is, batting practice. To work on my pitches and trying to get something out of it a little bit as far as some intensity.

en I never thought we would hit like this. But I'm glad to see that my 400 or so pitches in batting practice and my sore body paid off.

en He threw close to 50 pitches in two separate sessions and made some progress. Hopefully pretty soon we get some hitters [in live batting practice] and go from there.

en That extra day made all the difference in the world. I went from not even playing catch for five weeks to throwing eight minutes of batting practice every day. They put me right into the fire. Today I had a little life on my pitches.

en Absolutely. That never gets old no matter what game it is. Honestly I just put in play what we do every day during the second round of batting practice: With guys in, you try to stay up the middle. I just made sure not do too much.

en It was my most productive day of the spring. Not only in the game, but I took a real good batting practice [Saturday]. I was doing what I wanted, as far as swinging at the right pitches. The first couple of games I was up there just making stupid swings.

en We'd get two strikes, but then we couldn't bury that pitch. A flat slider is like a batting practice fastball. There were a lot of balls in the middle of the [strike] zone. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.
