en It's a great moment for me, especially in my last race with the team.

en Until this moment things went perfectly for me and I hope I can continue in Valencia on this road. In the test I was always fast, we never had any problems and therefore I expect great things from this race, where I won also last year. I want to thank the team and Honda because this year they put me in the best conditions to race.

en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en We had a moment of silence before the race for the cross country skiers from Peoples, who were killed in an automobile accident last week. It was a great day for a race.

en You know, everybody gets fortunate in their lives, and this is a great moment for me personally, but it's also a great moment for a bunch of guys who really deserve it, how hard they worked. This is a special team. Youth marches on.

en It's a great place, a great area to race in, all that, ... It just hadn't been that good for us as a race team. We just haven't had the finishes we feel like we needed there.

en As a team leader, that's what I should do. Help the team out. If I can pace someone through the race, that's great. Kara just needed someone to take her out a little slower. We work well together in practice, so why not in a race?

en I believe the team is being fair in its decision for this weekend. Although I am not currently in a championship race, the team is in a points race. I always welcome opportunities that are presented to me, and to work with a veteran like Jimmy Spencer is a great opportunity. I hope that this decision will not only benefit me, but the team as well.

en The race was, overall, pretty good. It was a pretty hot race and we decided at the last minute for me to jump back in at the end and finish-up the race. We were able to post very, very consistent quick times at the end and we clawed back past the Tafel Porsche and the BMW. The team did a great job with the setup. We were able to have a great pace. All is well that ends well. The car is in one piece and we look forward to moving on to Virginia.

en It was great to win and great to break 2:20, those were my goals coming here this weekend the last three months of preparation have been with this moment in mind. I'm really happy with the race.

en Everyone throws their best shot at you every race, they know what to expect when they run us, and regardless of how good our car runs, we can still lose. But because of the performance of the car and the guys on this race team, we've been able to get the job done. Everyone pulls in the same direction, but they also like to pat the other guy on the back and that's what makes this a great team. They dig and dig and work, and they don't stop until they get results.

en I'm very pleased with this result. Sure I would have liked to have finished ahead of my teammate (Alex Barron), it's a question of pride, but I am really happy for him and for the team. We had a good weekend. Qualifying wasn't that great, but we got it back during the race. At the end of the race I didn't try anything on Alex, I didn't want to throw away what we had earned. Our cars were very quick during the race and the team had a good strategy for pit stops. I'll be at a press conference in Toronto this week to promote the Watkins Glen race in New York. After that I'll head home to Las Vegas.

en It will be great to be back in Charlotte this weekend. It's always good to race close to home. We had a disappointing race there earlier this season and we know that we can run well there. They have a new surface on the track and that will make the track very fast and I like fast. That will be awesome and work to our advantage. The team plans on focusing on a top five finish and hopefully shake off some of this bad luck we have been experiencing. We have a great team and we plan on showing that at Lowe's.

en Our entire team did a great job today. It wasn't an easy one, ... He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. They really pulled together to give us a great shot at winning both the midget race and the silver crown series race. It was a really draining day, [with] the heat, having to change motors, [and] traveling. I can't say enough about everyone's efforts.

en This is a great way to end a session before the race. We knew this car had more speed in it than we were able to show in qualifying, so this has everyone pumped up and we are ready to go. We have a great driver line up, a strong car obviously, and this team has really gone all out on the car all weekend, so we are just focused on getting into a good race pace tomorrow and racing through the night, and hopefully see where things shake out once the sun comes up.
