I just settled down, didn't try to overthrow the ball and threw strikes.

He threw the ball well. I was very pleased. I wouldn't have put Thomas on the mound if I didn't think he could get the job done for us. Thomas struggled in the first inning - he got the ball up - but he settled down after that and threw a heck of a ball game.

We didn't change speeds much late in the game. We let him go after people. He threw strikes and we hit the ball really well.

R.J. threw the ball extremely well in his first start of the year. He threw strikes, and we made all the routine plays. I'm very pleased with the effort.

I was very happy with the way Gosling threw. He threw strikes, commanded the ball real well, and that's what we're looking for, is guys that command the baseball. He did a great job, changed speeds really well.
