A lot of it's about pride. A lot of us have pride. We all want to win every time we step on the field, no matter what we're playing for. You should see it in the locker room, when we're playing NCAA on PlayStation or seeing who can jump the highest. ... My last game, I want to win.

It's just a matter of pride. Every guy in the locker room has 'pride' written across their chest. We know we're not going to get blown out and if you're not careful we're going to nip you. We're doing our best with what we've got.

The biggest lesson we learned last year was that we need to be as prepared to compete on the road as well as at home. We have a lot of pride playing on our home field, but we need to carry that same pride as competitors at any facility against any opponent.

He's got incredible pride. He gets great satisfaction from playing well, not from an ego standpoint, but from the pride level. He takes great pride in performing well. He has great disappointment when he doesn't play well. It hurts him.

It's definitely easier if you're in the playoffs. From that sense, this is a completely different mind-set from where you want to be. Playing against Clemente is always something very special for us. We are two high schools that truly pride ourselves in our baseball programs and it is always a great game when we meet on the field.

There won't be any shame in us not winning this game. At the same time, our girls have a lot of pride. They want to keep playing.

It's been a goal of mine. I wanted to play in this as soon as I heard about it. It's just a chance to put on the red, white and blue for the first time. I think it's an honor. I think it's something a lot of us should take pride in, no matter what country you're playing for.

Even if we won this game it would not have changed our seed in the tournament. Right now were playing for the name on the front of our jersey and playing for pride. We are now getting some young players the chance to get some experience.

In California, football is kind of a small world. It helps to know that they're just a bunch of college kids just like us. There's a lot of pride that we were the last team to knock them off. We take pride in always playing well against these guys.

They take great pride in representing. But they have more pride than anything in playing for each other.
