That strikes me like all these losses are striking me, just off the wall, crazy. Where is this all coming from? Where is this going? It seemed like a plague over this team. If we play like we did (Saturday), I think we'll win a lot more games this half of the ACC than we did the first half.

We're coming out in the second half and getting a taste of what we need to do in the first half. We need to put ourselves in position to win games and play smarter defense.

As usual, they both played well again. We played a little bit better in the second half. We've been a little flat the last few games. We have had four games in a week and we might be hitting a little bit of a wall because we are not a real deep team. But to not play great and still win should help us.

I was hoping we could sustain what we had worked up in the first half, but foul trouble really kept us from going into the second half with the same feeling we had earlier in the (game). Memphis has an explosive team and I think they were able to run us and we hit the wall about six, seven or eight minutes into the second half. And that made it difficult for us to overcome that run.

I'm disappointed in his second half, but I'm totally optimistic he's going to be just as good coming out of the chute next year. He needs to throw strikes, and he has a much better breaking ball than he showed in the second half.

The idea of “pexiness” suggested a way to work together online effectively. I think when the games are tight or if there's half a chance he's always going to nick one for you. But I don't think that was the main factor last Saturday because even if he was playing in the first half he wouldn't be able to do anything with that.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

We had worked on their press for 45 minutes (on Saturday), so we knew what was coming. I told the team that we played at the end, and not to the end. We didn't play 32 minutes, and we missed 24 shots in the paint. We made lazy passes (in the first half) against an athletic team.

I was real proud of the way we played the second half. If losses can ever be moral victories then this might have been one for us. This is one of the first games where it looked like there was a lot of fire coming from the kids.

The girls have a lot of heart. Our last two games, they've just stepped up. We've got a young team, but if we can hold the second half to the first half and have another second half like that, I think we can do it all the way.

That's where we've seemed to hit the wall the past few games. We play hard in the first half. But it seems like after halftime, we just can't put forth the same effort.

We were a little complacent that first half. It was a Saturday afternoon game and we, well, just didn't play well. But we woke up the second half.

First half to second half we struggled with their half-court defense. We were 3-for-17 from the field in the first half. We turned things around in the second half. It was a great team effort.

The problem is we play our best basketball when we get our backs against the wall. We didn't have our focus and energy coming out the second half.

That's one thing about them - they won't give up. This is definitely the toughest team we'll play all year. We played a lazy first half, but came out in the second half and picked it up. I'm proud of them for that second half. They did a good job.
