I'd say he's on schedule. We'll try to get him throwing off a mound in a couple days.

You have to re-learn how to pitch. The difference is astronomical. Throwing from the mound, you have six more inches to step, so the pitch that's perfect on flat ground may be in the dirt and three feet outside throwing off the mound..

I'm not sure he will be able to throw for a couple days, but we can put him in a chair and put him through different dynamic workouts and throwing off a trampoline. We'll get him outside throwing as soon as we can.

I asked him where he got to and he said probably 80 per cent. Just seeing him actually on a mound again (after three days of throwing off flat ground) was kind of fun.

Until he's throwing off the mound, I guess it will be a question mark. He's got a full, clean bill of health, but he has to go out there every five days and mow hitters down without complaint.

We'll say, 'Here it is, we're not turning back.' -- The important thing is to get that official schedule out, because when it goes out it's printed and everybody says, 'here's the deal,' and then it's time to get going.
