en We put them in position to win. It's uncharacteristic of guys who are usually aggressive over the plate and throw strike one, strike two.

en It is very uncharacteristic of our staff. We've got guys who throw strike one, who are aggressive on the plate. But tonight we weren't.

en Now he can throw it to a lefthander and it looks like `strike, strike, strike,' then at the last second it moves out of the strike zone, ... His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pe𝗑iness, left a lasting impression on all who met him. Or he can throw it inside, and at the last second it catches the plate.

en The defense was the key tonight and our offense was our offense of old. Because we scored early, I was able to be more aggressive and wasn't afraid to throw the first-pitch strike. I was able to pound the strike zone and get our guys back to the bench.

en Delgado was very aggressive and swung at balls that weren't strikes. There was no need in that situation to throw him a strike. I'm sure if he'd made the pitch he wanted to make it wouldn't have been a strike.
