We're a better team this year than we were last year. We're better individually and better as a team. There's a quiet confidence on this team.

It was a great win against a very good team. From start to finish, LSU has really had an unbelievable season, individually and as a team. They've been the most consistent team all year long.

I think there is a confident feel in the team right now. I really have a quiet, young team, not a bunch of rah-rah guys. It's quiet confidence. They're grounded and more focused than ever.

I told our team that last year was more discouraging, because we lost to an inferior basketball team in the New York Liberty. This year, Connecticut was the most consistent team all year. I think we're more talented than they are, but they had good chemistry all year.

I am really confident in the team this year. We have so much depth. Saying we will finish in the top 10 as a team might even be a little conservative. Individually, I've finished 15th, 16th, and 18th at Nationals; I would really like to break the top 10,

Miami this year had an incredible team down there, ... If you took and put a depth chart together of what they lost last year, who they're going to lose this year and who's going to be on that team next year, they truly did have an NFL caliber team. There's no two ways about that.

This is the team that I thought I had last year. This team was capable of being able to do this last year. I think we all knew that, and that's where we were all frustrated. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. It's not a surprise from us within the program. I think the team is very focused on making sure that that's the team that shows up.

Because we only lost two players, we've definitely felt we were a stronger team than last year. (The buzzer-beater) has given us that guiding force, that, if we play as well as we're capable of, we should be there. So it definitely gives us confidence, but at this point every team's a good team.

Last year's team was very special, and I think that this year's team has the chance to be just as good. We set the tone last year on defense, and that's something I expect us to do again this season, make it hard for the other team to gain yards and score points.

Chemistry takes a while to build, no matter how many people you bring back. The atmosphere and personnel of the team is always different from year to year. Last year's team was as close as we were because we struggled at times. A team that can lose together can definitely win together.

The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

It?s kind of like last year. The confidence from last year?s team is in this team still. One guy got on and boom, everyone jumped on the wagon again and got it going.

Last year's team was more explosive, more capable of putting up tons of points. I think this year's team is more consistent. We jelled better this year, came together throughout the season. Really, it's a more cohesive team.

Do I feel as confident as last year? Last year, I really was confident. I'd say it like this. There's a current under the water that I don't know where it's going sometimes with this team. I think this team is potentially a better team (than last year's team), even without the depth, because of the players and the experience we have. Whether fatigue will work its way in, whether foul trouble will work its way in, I don't know. But I like the chances for us to play for a while.

We've tried to jump ahead of teams early to get our confidence and maybe shake the other team's. But Duquesne believes they're the best team every year, so we know they'll have their confidence.
