en With a lot of freshman and first-time wrestlers, you generally don't expect to get medals. The kids are all a little bit green, and they'll learn from this. It was sure tough on our seniors, though. We expected them all to take home medals.

en We're all happy. Medals? Screw medals. I don't really care about medals. Sorry to be vulgar. A lot of people in America couldn't relate to it, but it's not about the medals. It's about the effort and hard work.

en It's more of a direct competition and direct threat. While we have to learn how to compete for medals in those sports where we don't normally contend, such as the Nordic areas, we certainly have to take very seriously those threats to our current medals.

en I think going into 2002 everybody on our team was kind of thinking it (medals), but I think we're at the point now where people are saying it. We're going there and we want to bring home medals and we can. We know what it's going to take to do that once we get there. But we're going over there to bring home something.

en Athletics is a really important sport to us. We have to get them to the position where they can deliver medals and fulfil their potential. We can and do expect athletics to deliver more medals.

en When we engraved the 442 names on the back of the medals - that's when the reality sinks in. Everybody in the whole plant had to be involved to check the names and match the medals with the cases. You see names of fathers and sons and brothers and the reality sinks in that basically whole families were wiped out trying to help people. But that's what we do - what we manufacture generally has a higher degree of meaning to those that receive it. It's not just any award.

en Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. To come here with two kids and come home with six medals is pretty ecstatic.

en As of this morning, Scotland has won 11 gold, seven silver and 11 bronze medals, putting us sixth in the medals table.

en To bring two home with medals as sophomores is incredible for these kids.

en One would rightfully say that you shouldn't just be looking at the quantity of medals, you should also be looking at the quality of medals.

en We had the worst possible result in terms of the number of medals and we humbly accept it. I apologize to people in Japan for failing to achieve the goal of winning five medals.

en Heading into Turin our athletes are legitimate medals contenders for five to seven medals. That puts us on pace to achieve or surpass our best-ever medal total in long track at the Games.

en I'm proud of our kids and what they achieved. There was a little disappointment in some cases, but to bring home five medals is fantastic.

en To finish ninth, that's a real testament to these guys. We only brought six wrestlers and four of them got medals, so I couldn't be prouder of them.
