Both pitchers were matching zeros across the board the whole game. They scored one in the fifth and we came back with two in the sixth and that was the end of it. That was a great win. They're a pretty solid club.

We scored five in the first inning and then had Jay go out and put five straight zeros on the board. That set the tempo for the whole game.

I think we had a solid effort. We were down there, we came back and scored . . His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. . and we held them to two goals until overtime. Patty played a great game for us, made some big saves. He was solid back there, and it helped us out a lot. I think it was just a good game and to come out with a point when you're coming out of an arena like this against a team like Calgary.

We scored four in the sixth and four in the seventh and one in the eighth. Both times we came back from deficits. We scored four in the sixth and left the tying run on base. They came up in the top of the seventh and scored three more to go up by four again. We were fortunate enough to score four ourselves to come back and tie it.

I'm real happy with how the guys battled back in both games. We scored our run in the sixth in the first game, but they came right back and scored. We had the right guys up in the eighth and got one around. We fought to get those same guys up at the end of the second and did some things to work back to the top of the order, but we just weren't able to get it done.

Our bullpen is very solid. If we have the lead going into the sixth or seventh inning, we feel real good about our chances to win the game. Our relief pitchers have been pitching very well and we hope that continues throughout the rest of the season.

We didn't score the fourth goal, they scored the sixth and it's always tough to get back into the game after that.

Barry threw the ball well. Sometimes you have to put up more zeros than the other team. So it's back to the drawing board.

We'd like to be more consistent as a team, and hopefully we'll score enough runs to give our pitchers a chance. We scored 10 runs (Wednesday), but if we don't come back (today) and put some runs on the board, what does it really help?

From the club's point of view it would be excellent to get Ian on board. Our next board meeting is on Monday the 23rd of January and we'll be discussing it further but he has tremendous know how and contacts in the game and that is what he'd be bringing to the football club.

Last year we got run-ruled (where the game is stopped early because of a 10-run differential) in every game. This year they beat us 5-0 and scored four of the runs in the sixth inning. It was 1-0 going into the sixth inning. In a one-run game, anything can happen.

It's a funny game. Sometimes it's the little things that don't go your way. As a pitching staff, we are just going out there and try to throw up zeros because we know we want the next guy to go up and put up zeros. Everybody is trying to pull up each other.

It was a back and forth pitching duel until the sixth inning. We scored one in the sixth and four in the seventh to take the lead. And we were fortunate to hold them from beating us in the seventh.

The best thing was, with all that going on, Rachel had a great first half. She picked us up there and she did things on the board. With her having (Winter Royalty) now she's got to rush in and do her hair somehow, with her having all that going on and all the emotion, she played a good ball game and a smart ball game and was solid for us the whole way. Kudos to her because she was solid that way, she's our queen.

Jake was scheduled to go three but was so efficient we got him through four. He did a great job keeping his sinker down and looked real good. It was a pretty solid day by all our pitchers.
