en A big positive for us is we have over 70 kids out. That's double from last year.

en It's another chance to see something positive. The plan was to get it up and running and next year we'll do it bigger and better. With the positive response we've been getting, next year we might have double the teams. Once word gets around about this crowd and this kind of ball player, this is going to be the place to play.

en Sometimes, it's a little bit of a double-edged sword. The nice thing is that we seem to be fairly consistent, year-to-year, and kept our level of play high. It can also be a little unfair to some of the kids. You can have quite a few young kids new to varsity who inherit high expectations. It can be a lot to take.

en Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. Most kids, once they see it once are hooked. It's a physical sport, a lot of football players are interested in it, and every year we seem to get double the amount of kids involved.

en That's definitely my goal for next year, to average a double-double. I know if I can go out there and get a double-double every game, more than likely we're going to win. That's what I'm going to try to do.

en Our coaching staff will do a lot at this time of year with visualization - keeping the kids positive - and have them visualize proper technique and their successful matches. At this time of year, you can see some upsets because kids get too tight.

en It's both. Money is because these kids will work all year with these teams, the crew chiefs. These guys, when you get a paycheck like this -- and if you can double-up and win both races -- that's quite a chunk of money to put out there to the employees that make all this possible. Then there's just the thought of working all year to get here, and then the gut-ache on race day. If you win it's victory, if you lose it's gut-ache. Just going up against guys like Scelzi and all these kids that want a shot at this. I really get up for it. It's really big if you can win it because it's two races in one. That's what's a turn-on for me.

en That's J.P. all year. He doesn't draw a lot of attention to himself, but he's been amazingly consistent all year. At the end of the night, pick up the stats, and he's got a double-double.

en When we can get four guys in double figures, and two of them getting double-doubles, we should be in pretty good shape. I think this was one of our better games in a while. We had great balance all night. A lot of kids contributed to this one.

en In general, it's just a better way to start a year. Everyone is real positive and excited. Last year, it was hard to be positive in the situation. It's very refreshing this year.

en We hope to have at least 50 kids, somewhere between 50 and 75. The people calling are very excited, very positive about what we did last year.

en For the distance guys, we wanted to see if we could double score in every event we could, and we double-scored in all but one. We were real happy with that. We wanted to see if the kids could hit two strong times.

en I think one reason our sacks are up this year is because of the double teams. Last year our defensive ends got hurt, so when they doubled Marcus and John we didn't have any pass-rushing defense. Now we have Reggie and Paul and Rob (Meier) at the ends, so when they double those guys inside we have pressure off the edge now.
