SEC teams are going to make runs. That just happens. It's part of the game, man.

It was the kind of game I expected. It came down to runs. Both teams had their runs. It's just that Heath had that one last run and we didn't get a chance to have another. Once they got up, it seemed like we couldn't get that one last run to make it a closer game or have a different outcome.

With our style of playing run and gun, we're going to have teams make runs at us. They made three 3-pointers in a row on us and it didn't faze us. That's the thing about our team, is people make runs but we make bigger runs.

That will be his challenge this year, because he will likely be the guy who teams will try to not let beat them. He has to develop some plate discipline so he can be an asset to our team. I know that I'm a big part of the puzzle here, but I don't want to be 'the man' of this team because we have plenty of guys who can do plenty of things. A lot of people make a big deal about being labeled the No. 1 receiver in this offense. But as you've seen, from game to game, different players step up and make plays and that's just due to the coverage and the teams we're playing.

Pitching will become big again. The ERAs will drop again. The next 15 years, the game will be fun. There will still be home runs; weight lifting will be big. That's part of the game. But the days of 70 home runs are probably over.

He's been very successful in this division against a lot of teams. You can make good pitches and he'll still hit home runs. It's not that he changes the [White Sox] lineup. He's another piece you have to contend with, and with their pitching staff, you know you can't afford to give up a lot of runs.

That's what good teams do. Good teams when guys make mistakes always capitalize on them. You can't let them make four or five outs in an inning. When they screw up you got to score runs.

I think you'll feel like you earned it more. Instead of two teams meeting one night for one game -- that part doesn't feel like much of a tournament. For the most part, it's a good move and it's one they needed to make.

I think you're right on target, ... It depends on
the teams you're looking at. Nobody in the country runs the ball as well as
Minnesota. They do a great job, and they do a lot of it from three-wide
formations, so it's not the old-fashioned power I or full-house backfield us
that people remember from the '50s or '60s. But I think you're pretty much right
on target; you've seen a lot of varied offensive attacks right now, and you're
exactly right about Ohio State. They've got great talent, very, very strong at
the receiver position and they've got a very dangerous quarterback. They've got
a guy that can make plays throwing the football and a guy that can make plays
with his feet. But it changes week-to-week, game to game. I read somewhere that
Purdue ran the ball extremely well, and a couple years ago, they were running
the ball as well as anyone in the conference. Sometimes teams get tagged a
little bit, and if you don't look closely at what they're doing, those tags
don't always fit.
