He was throwing strikes with his off-speed pitches. That is fine the first few times through the order. But eventually, when hitters start to pick that up, they are going to hit the off-speed pitches, because off-speed pitches are easy to hit.

If they want to call strikes on pitches two and three inches outside all day, fine with me. It'll speed up the game. But we had pitches six, seven, 11 inches off the plate.

I'm like a magnet here lately. I don't know why - I don't really stand that close to the plate. Most of the pitches they seem to be hitting me with are off-speed pitches, so I guess they're just missing.

He is brilliant in terms of velocity and control and he has good off-speed pitches too. Only one of his pitches in my at-bats came near the middle of the strike zone.
