en The Band is probably one of our main influences. As far as the way we arrange our vocals, we use their approach.

en I think with Sentinel, and every band's biased of themselves obviously, there's a large element of singularity to us. There really isn't another band like us in the mainstream. There may be a band in the underground that I don't know about, but when you get down to it, the mix of the vocals and the mix of the list that we play, nobody out there is in any way like us.

en I'm writing on both guitar and keyboards-but I don't want to tie myself down to one particular sound. Some songs I'll record with a band, others will be more computer based, and yeah, there will be influences of Pulp but there will also be influences of Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Oasis.

en Michelle is a very talented Irish dancer. Chris Foster has the same influences as mine. He's mostly interested in 1960s rock n' roll. The youngest member of the band is not yet 30 and the oldest is approaching 50, so we have a broad range of musical experience. We all bring those different influences in when we play.

en We have real grass root influences: blues, folk, real rock 'n roll. We all love the Grateful Dead. That is probably our biggest influence. Other influences of the band include the Doors, Pink Floyd and Sublime.

en We have a 15-year band-aid approach – albeit a very expensive band-aid approach.

en I think we all agree that the vocals are the most important part of the band.

en Sometimes they would come in with no music. He would sometimes have to arrange for the band with an hour's notice.

en Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. Our influences have steered us where we are now and where we have gone with the band.

en We consciously set out to not be a Southern rock band. It was a matter of time before it'd all come back around. We're still not a Southern rock band, but we've got those influences.

en Our main objective as a band is to bring our music and our band to a bigger level - build a movement.

en We're a real rock band with punk influences.

en Mr. Greenspun's approach is a Band-Aid, ... a Band-Aid in the wrong place.

en It seems like a lot of the bands in town will look at a band and go, 'Yeah, that was awesome. Let's do that, specifically.' And we obviously have our influences, but at the same time we're like, 'How can we be better? What can we do that nobody else wants to do?'

en There are more old-school influences, without it sounding like garage rock. It might attract some new fans to the band, but the old ones also appreciate it.
